ZL1 Dealer Brochures

Does anyone know if the ZL1 Dealer Brochures talked about in previous threads are genuine GM publications?

I inquired with Chevrolet Customer Service about where to get one. They replied with a site where it could be downloaded. I replied back that I already was aware of the site, but that I wanted the original hard copy.

Here is what they replied back:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting Chevrolet and for your recent order of the 2012 Camaro ZL1! We appreciate the time you have taken to write us.

At this time, the Camaro ZL1 does not have a separate brochure. Information on the new ZL1 is included in the 2012 Camaro brochure. We would be more than happy to mail a 2012 Camaro brochure to you if you like.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

At Chevrolet, we strive to provide exceptional customer service. If we can be of any further assistance please email us or call 1-800-950-2438 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am to 9pm Eastern Time, and Saturday 9am to 6pm. Thank you for contacting Chevrolet!

Sincerely,

The Chevrolet Marketing Team

There's a conflict here. How can it be available to down load, but...At this time, the Camaro ZL1 does not have a separate brochure?

I will be calling them tomorrow for clarification.

I believe that it is, but it is VERY hard to come by. A wonderful C5 member sent me one, because I could not find one at any of my local dealers.

I just called the 1-800 number to get me a zl1 brochure also. The rep told me that the brochure is not available yet but should be out at a later date. He said the zl1 is not in production yet and will not start being produced until spring of 2012.

Nice to know Chevrolet marketing department is on top of things.

Were these the brochures that are dedicated only to the ZL1? Or were they the 2012 Camaro SS showroom brochures, which only have a center double page on the ZL1, containing very little information--basically an announcement that they would be available to order in spring of 2012?

ZL1 specific....just like the downloadable version....darkened background with the red zl1 on the front.

They had about 50 copies....and only one allocation.

I just got off the phone with a Marketing Team rep who explained to me that according to her references, the ZL1 Dealer Brochure is NOT currently available. However, it is supposed to be released within the next week or so (mid-March). She said she would take my info and send one to me as soon as they are released.

When I mentioned to her that there have been a limited amount of these brochures showing up at some dealers, and also posted on E-bay, she wandered how they would have gotten them. Because according to her information, they are not to be released until mid-March.

So sounds like dealers may start receiving them in the next few weeks.

And just for the hellavit, while I had her on the line, I hinted that there are quite a few ZL1 owners getting rather impatient about receiving their cars, including those with pending orders. She was very apologetic and said Chevrolet values our input.

That's the same thing that happened to me. I called and the first guy said they weren't available, just the downloadable version. I called again and another guy said they'd mail one right out...still haven't received anything. I emailed my dealer and I received it in 2 days. I'm getting their only allocation so I don't think the dealership size matters, maybe the OP should just call around to dealerships to see if one could ship it to him

Somewhere on the existing brochure is a Part #, or Reference #. Bottom of the back page?

Can someone post it up for those who seek one? Quote the Number to the Customer Support people...
