Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Right......Just some of the VQ specs... The Crank is also balanced.

---

Some of the features of the VQ includes an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, forged steel crankshaft, micro finished crankshaft and camshaft, molybdenum-coated pistons, Nissan variable Induction Control System (NICS), Continuous Valve Timing Control (C-VTC), and a silent two-stage timing chain.

Thats an ignorant way to judge engines.

The LSX engine is a naturally balanced engine. The VQ isn't, hence the unpleasent vibrations and harshness in the higher RPM's.

The LSX is a closed deck block. The VQ uses and open deck block, in which the cylinder "float" in the block itself. This is a weak design (Honda and Toyota use it as well, go figure) and will result in cylinder wall distortion or failure at higher power levels. It also means there is a much higher chance of developing a head gasket leak, since there is an exponentionally larger area to seal.

The LSX uses 6 bolt main bearing caps for the ultimate in block strength. The VQ does not.

As far as serviceability goes, the LS engines are easy and inexpensive to work on and mod. The VQ needs to have the intake manifold pulled off just to change spark plugs.

Basically the LS does everything better than the VQ. It makes more power, runs smoother, its better built, its stronger, it sounds better, its easier to work on, its cheaper to mod, and its more fuel efficient to boot. How can you argue with that??

Yep. Troll.

Every post since the day you signed up has been on how great the 370z is and nothing else. I give you credit, you seem quite knowledgeable on the 370z. Yes, it is a great car. Go over to the 370z site and bench race with all your buds... This IS a Camaro site.

Once again, no one wins in online bench racing.

Well I have a friend with a bone stock 91z28 that ran 11.2@124 STOCK.

We all have friends, or friends that know people. Thats ricer mentality. Im not saying it didnt happen. Ive seen them hit mid 11s. But Im thinking the mph was different.

Not a troll. I had a 99 T/A on LS1.COM. And your point? I owned a LS1 and a GM product and have experience with the cars. Maybe you don't?

Sorry but the LT1 does not do even near that stock. It was lucky to hit low 14s stock. I hope you are just being a smarta$$.

Amazing?

Its a good car. Do we really need the mullet comments? Did anyone here call you a ricer?

I love Camaros.....but amazing they are not...LOL. I would say the ZR1 is an Amazing car. A MClaren is an amazing car.

A 2 seater that cracks mid to high 13s in the 1/4 and is mass produced is not an amazing car...

Amazing
