I don't think you'd sell as many if people knew you didn't use it It's like those old toupee commercials!

I decided one warning that turned into both plate and window tint was a good enough reason to get a front plate put on. I jury rigged it but intend to do jacfab some day. I don't think a hideaway would be good for me given winter driving dangers.

I just need to decide what custom plate I want so I can make it more worth while.

Most states from what I have heard can't and wont issue the ticket if the car didn't come with a place to mount it? (Something to do with vehicle damage) So if you don't have the mount on your car you shouldn't get a ticket in the first place.

I've seen a lot of cars around here without front plates, although I think it's required by law. The Camaro looks much, much better without that eye sore of a front plate on it.

I got tired of getting stopped by the police. I have been stopped a total of 5 times since I got the car in June 09. I got stopped 3 times last year so in the summer I decided to put the damn thing on. I zip tied it so I wouldn't have to cut any holes.

The problem is our Camaro's are noticeable so the police tend to look them over more than a regular car. I had one policeman that pulled me over said he was giving me a warning as long as I let him look over the car. He was really cool about it, even asked me to open the hood. He asked me how fast I have had it up to, I thought he may be entrapping me so I lied and told him I had it to 152 at a race track even though it wasn't a race track.

The fine is Ohio is $180 for first offense, $350 for the 2nd offense so it's just not worth the aggravavation any more.

I've owned two 5th gen Camaros and didn't install the front license plate on either one even though Ohio law requires one. So far I've manage to drive past dozens of police cars without being stopped. If I ever do get stopped, I'll just pay the fine. It's worth it to me to keep the front of my Camaro plateless.

Im from mass and it is illegal not to have a front plate, they usually dont pull u over for not having one, but if they pull u over for like speeding theyll add it it onto the ticket uping the fine. They did come out with a grreen back plate for a year and if u have that plate u dont need a front plate...
