Light Dimmer Switch Mod Help Request

Hey guys/gals, I want to install a dimmer switch that would allow me to lower or increase the brightness of a set of leds Im wiring into my dash.

Similar to how on the left of the steering wheel you can adjust the lighting on the speedo and tach etc

What type of dimmer switch could I buy? Everything I see online seems to be for home application...

Depending on how handy you are, i suppose you can get a 2011-2012 Camaro Hud switch, get the wiring that connect to it, but obviously use the loose wires to tap into a power source. From what i understand, the switch has already has resisters to dim... all this is theory on my part.. hopefully someone else has more knowledge and can light more into this.

NO, there are some set resisters in the HUD switch, not a dimmer switch, a dimmer switch is a variable resister, OR as we called it when i went to school a "POT"
, and this is what you need to do only with a switch not a Pot.
