Thanks, I have put this experience in my lessons learned. I'm over it now. Hopefully I will never need to use any body shop ever again. It's a good thing I actually love cleaning my car.

Nice to see some Hawaii people here on Camaro5.

I'm new to the GM cars/forum, with hopes of obtaining a ZL1 some time in the near future.
I didn't get to read through all 56 pages, but eventually I will to get a better understanding of what happened, is happening, and will happen.
I was born and raised in Kaneohe, moved out in '86 to Wahiawa, then to Mililani in '95, and now in Kalama Valley.
I hope to get the ZL1 and contribute to this forum...and even meet up with everyone for a drive one day.
I've been a member for some of the Euro forums here, but now I want some American Muscle!!

I usually would go to the Mililani meets but I dont see them on the events schedule on 808camaros anymore.

Saturday is Windward Mall. This is also a big event. Plus, the mall is actually having something during the weekend so this could be a big one.

Anybody interested in AutoX, we have the last event of the season on Sunday at the Aloha Stadium.

I've been to a few of those car shows/meets in Hi/Kai and WW.
I may check it out this Saturday at WW to see if there's anything new...and some of the Camaro's there.
Makes me sad to see so many nice cars with some major mods, and yet no place for them to run...legally.

I'm supposed to meet the internet mgr for JN on Saturday to discuss a ZL1 however, I've already told him I'm not doing ADM over MSRP. I may need to speak to Brad Nicolai...LOL!
I also told the same thing to the mgr at Cutter.
I know the people at Servco, and I know they sell at MSRP however, there are a lot of customers waiting. Seems like no one on the island knows if they have an allotment or how many they have for sure.
Oh well, I'm not in a rush, and a 2013 would do just fine.

I hope to meet some of you guys at the Car Show!

Run your Camaro at Autocross at the Stadium. There are 2 5th Gens, one Supercharged, that runs. Also a very nice Mustang GT 500. Only place to really let loose.

Good luck with JN. I spoke to Brad before I bought mine, but no, they were not willing to sell at MSRP or lower, only Servco. With that said, you may want to speak to Dean, the Pres. of 808Camaros. He supposedly buys his cars from JN. He's been through 2 5th Gens already and I believe has ZL1 on order. I would expect them to try full mark-up on the ZL1.

The Internet Manager @ JN is named David and he is the guy who sold me my Camaro. I got him to meet me at MSRP (Although mine had a whole bunch of add ons so who knows where they made up the money on that one). That being said David was pretty cool guy and busted his ass to get me in my Camaro quick(Mine was a bonus from work and I just wanted to buy the damn thing and get cruising).

No matter what almost anywhere is gonna rake you over the coals for a ZL1 just because it's such a Primo car.

Haole I'm glad you had a good experience with Servco because I've never dealt with a slower bunch of feet draggers ever. They were the first place I went because they sell at MSRP and I even put a $500 hold on the one while they hammered out the fine details. After a month of waiting for them to get the financing figured out I was told they needed another week to get everything in order. Keep in mind it was bonus from work and they were throwing down 20k just on a down payment. Eventually my boss got so ticked off with it that he told me to go somewhere else and he would rather give them the 500 bucks then give them another penny.

But I guess it's a good thing because I walked into JN, and 3 days later I was in my MUCH better looking Camaro.

Nevertheless OVRKLL good luck and I"m sure you'll love your ZL1 when you get it.

Got mine at msrp at Windward Servco. (Chevy division is now gone) They did a really good job to make sure I got mine. Ended up buying a Toyota Matrix from them and now looking at a Toyota Pickup.

Looks like 808 Camaros and 50 Muscle will be showing up at the Windward Mall Car Show. A good way to check out different types of mods. Mine is still in the shop, but hoping it will be finished by saturday.

You cant miss them. All of the 5th gens are parked together. Look for the group sitting in chairs by the 5th gens. Thats us.
