Hello,

If my dealer pulls this kind of stuff.... I'll be doing the same thing.

Computer word travels fast!

Thank you for your story.

Dude, you know the CEO knew all about it. But now that there's pressure on him he's back peddling. Either way, you're getting your car at MSRP so YAY!!

So did fbodfather have anything to do with them honoring the original deal?

Sorry, just referencing info from another thread. Still, I'm glad your issue was resolved! Share some pics as soon as you get as far away as possible from your dealership.

Way to go Oldtimer. Congrats!! You handled this better than I would have. The police would have dragged me out of that place.

I hope the guy who pissed on your written agreement gets an azz whoopin or fired!!

This probably won't be the last time we hear this happening, but if we all stick together then hopefully dealers will get the message.

Aww, you mean we don't get to use the torches and pitchforks after all? Man, we never get to use them! I don't know why we even bought these things.

I bought my last new Camaro from Mac Haik back in 2000. They seemed like one of the few honest dealerships, at least back then. I was honestly ready write them off as another Land Mark (Land Shark), Bill Heard (Bill Turd) type dealership (if you are familiar with Houston area dealers), but I am glad they worked this out and I would consider them in the future.

I accept their apology, I have told them so and I am very appreciative of them contacting me right away and doing the right thing!

I will get my CGM 2SS/RS with 20" polished wheels for MSRP as promised.

Thanks for the support from all of you.
Fantastic, but I still won't let them change my oil!

I'm glad that it all worked out for you. However, I wouldn't buy that car from that dealer if my life depended on it. I'm not criticizing YOUR decision. I'm only saying for myself, I would WALK. True, you can't hurt them as they will have no problem selling the car. But for me, it's the principle.
Everyone is right when they say that GM didn't try to screw you, the dealership did. HOWEVER, as a huge, multi-billion dollar global corporation, GM MUST exert influence over its dealer network. Actually, I think they are about to do that by forcing MANY to close. A lot of the poor ones are about to go away.

I say we start a sticky thread for this issue. If any more of us have the same problem, post all the relevant info there and let the collective might of Camaro5 lend a hand.

I say that because I'm already getting hints from my sales guy, and my order is supposed to be pulled this week. Who knows what will happen at delivery?

Too bad it took such drastic measures....

I am sure that if you were not a member of Camaro 5.... and didn't have the "Fbod" on your side.... you would still be getting screwed.
