A cruise around I465 could be done. There already is an annual charity ride called The Loop for Life that does just that. The last one I went on had nearly 4000 motorcycles. The best part is they shut down all the on ramps and its just the charity riders only!
A lap around IMS would be awsome! I remember riding in my parents car for a lap during a car show that was held that when I was a kid, and most recently I rode my Harley around the GP course during a MotoGP weekend. It would be really cool if we could do a lap around both, the main track and the road course. That could be combined with a tour through the museum as well.

When we have something definitive, we will let you folks know.
Perhaps a morning and then evening cruise to split up the groups?

It just so happens that they have tour dates for the weekend of C5Fest...so I think the stars are in line if someone pulls the trigger.

Yea, I've ridden in the Loop for life...GREAT time! Thats what I was thinking about when I started the thread...wouldnt it be cool to do like $5-10 per car and donate it to Rileys childerns hospital in name of C5 forum/fest?

We had a Camaro cruise Friday night in and around Valdosta Ga duriing camaro5fest 1.
Someone put that great cruise together with the blessing and help of the powers that be and
the police dept. The police supervised the entire route including all the intersections.
Rumor had it there were 300+ Camaros and it was a 20+ mile long route. All I know it was a blast. It started and ended at the host hotel.
Of course Valdosta is a small town compaired to Indianapolis so a repeat may not be possable.

I guarantee those in Indianapolis will not be sitting on their rocking chairs on their lawns as we go by...LOL! That was a blast.

I loved all the kids going crazy and cheering us on as we went by. You couldn't help but gun it a few times to say "thank you"!

This would be awesome! Fit all cars on the track and take an aerial view of it. I'd love that and get one of those framed!

On a Sunday morning we had a police motor cycle escort from the host hotel to the Indy 500 track. Then we did laps around the Indy track. This was back in 1995.

Yep. I'm working on it. I talked with our head organizer yesterday morning at 10am. We have host hotel security pinned down (easy part) and are now working on the logistics of a possible 600+ Camaro cruise. FYI, this is no easy task....working on roads and intersections which would need to be temporarily shut down so we could roll through.

And...FYI....when we did this in Valdosta, we had 374ish Camaros. It took 10 minutes just go to through one intersection. Double this and imagine. This is going to be MASSIVE. So, we are working on something that could actually be done. We are getting routes first and then numbers of officers, motors, cruisers, etc. It ain't super easy to do...lol

We did a lap around the track in 08. Sunday morning. Pretty cool. We'd love to do this, but the track could be difficult to work with.

Not going to happen...lol

It was a corvette cruise where a couple thousand corvettes ran from several surrounding states. One of the mods already contacted Guiness and it would take something phenomenal to happen to break that record.
