damage or not?

I just picked my car up with 14 miles on it. In the door jam on the bottom, not where the 'camaro' plate is but next to it, there are some scratches and they are def deep enough to feel. This is on my drivers side AND on the passenger side.

Does anyone else have this?

Is it worth it to complain about to the dealer?

you just paid 25k-35K (possibly more) for something, you have every right to expect it to be perfect.

Yuuuuup.................You paid for a new car..........It should be spanking & sparkling brand new, including being entirely void of blemishes, even the smallest single one.

So are these marks common? I'll be telling my dealer monday that when I drop it off for the gfx he has to get that fixed. Do they have to sand it down or what to fix it?

Agreed. I inspected my car all over before accepting delivery. The car should be immaculate

I had some defects, had the dealer fix them and document every location for the rust warranty. Our cars are not known for best paint. Previous posters are correct, you paid for a perfect car, demand it.

Did you have a chance to take a good look at the bills that you paid for the car , if not i bet that they were in pristine condition , otherwise the dealer would have called you back for an explanation . So it's absolute normal to expect that the product that you paid for with tiptop condition US$ be in the same top notch working/condition, that's all.

They'll probably have to remove the sill plates to fix the scratches. Might be a good time to ask the dealer to replace them with the billet optional ones (on their dime of course). Good Luck

Paint repair is covered under warranty for issues at delivery like this. I can assure you GM wants you to be completely satisfied with your new vehicle. Not partially, not mostly, but completely.

That being said, don't wait too long or they can make the case that you did it getting in an out of the vehicle which technically isn't covered.

However, there would be no compelling reason for the dealer to give you free billet replacement sill plates.
