Hmmm I just realized though, this addresses only the top rub marks. Nothing yet on the 5th bow issue, which means I'll be slightly uncomfortable every time I start up the motor to take the top down. :(

Knock-on-wood I've (gulp) never experienced this issue yet with the bow, nor water management bag (although I did have to bring it in for a recall/inspection the week after I got it last Feb for the WMB ... The bow issue seemed to become more prevalent in mid-year builds from what I've noticed... I personally only have the two side rub marks and more notably, the rear driver side "hole" that's forming...

Rene- while I'm very happy for all of us, I'll believe it when I see it!

I sure hope this fix is on the line right now with my new one being built in 2 weeks. I asked my Chevy rep today about it and she was mum but said that was interesting. Hopefully all this heartache will be over for us soon and we can just enjoy our 40 thousand dollar hot wheels cars.

Ahhhh I'll be sure to check out my build date as soon as Cammy the Camaro is back in from the body shop to get her key scratch and door dings out. :(

When was yours built? Nice to know that if the bow issue may indeed be weather related as some have suggested, our locations pretty much have the same type of sunny weather.

Now I wouldn't normally be this anal about caring for the top, but I'm prepping for an April drop-top road trip down the California coast with my girlfriend, and I don't want this issue popping up (or "out" might be more suitable) during our drive. LOL.

Hate to be the pessimistic one here but i will believe it once i see it. Hope for all that have endured so much pain it is going to be fixed once and for all! I myself have waited for years for this car but not to have to endure some of the pain with it. I would not trade it for the world!

I'm new to the forum and on the fence right now. I really want a vert but from what you all are saying even the current cars rolling off the line still could be suspect. I've found two '12's that are exactly what I want but aren't "fresh" . One came off in July '11 and the other in December '11.

Does the top develop holes from rubbing with alot of use or are they forming with few rotations?? Mine would not be a daily driver so I could leave the top down limiting the damage.

Those of you with water management issues, did it happen when you were caught in a rainstorm or simply handwashing car in the driveway?

From what I have heard the fix was not on the line until mid February. I would be suspect of any car built before that time. I was told by the powers that be that my car, being built 4/2 would have all the fixes on it. Mine 1st one was built on 7/27/11 and I have had nothing but problems with it.

Tomorrow is the big day ! I got my car back from the dealer after the full top replacement, Canvas,Mechanics, and Water Management, from the production line. Tomorrow I'll be putting the top down after 4 days of letting the canvas stretch. So far the Canvas is noticeably quieter and from what I can see the bracket are smaller and looks to have been moved. I'll be able to tell more when I lower the top.
As I have posted, I have been told this is the approved fix, which includes the fifth bow. But I was also told that the current TSBs will still be used until they are found NOT to work. Only then will the total top replacement be done.
82 degrees tomorrow in New England ! I have been waiting for this for months, both the great weather and the vert being fixed.

Wow! I've pretty much stayed away from these threads because of all the negativity (said in a Donald Sutherland Kelly's Heroes voice..) but something made me pop in and have a look at this one.

This is a very interesting development as I'm still very interested to learn exactly what the fixes are.

Thanks for keeping at it and posting up.
