Oh lol. Mis read. In this thread there is a way to reuse the plasmas for a SS by dremeling one of the notches out. 2SSRS shows you how. Don't know about what the difference is between RS and SS bulbs.

Not unless you want the wheel wells and hood and the rest of the parts.

My main concern is the housings fitting. I have a non-rs so I have fog lights and not DRLS. I got the DRL retainers as stated in this forum but Ofer says he has heard from someone that non-RS housings won't fit. I was hoping for clarification before the installation. Bumper is at paint but guess I'll find out soon!

I was looking at this last night, here is the problem as i see it,(Fog lights= Non Rs, DRL's= RS cars) the fog lights have 3 push in pins in the rear but one of them is 1" longer so if you look at the rear of a SS/LT bumper you can see 1 of the 4 holes is set back on a tower 1" for you to install the fog light in to the bumper, the DLR use the other 3 of 4 holes and there all at the same depth.

The ZL1 retainers have 3 holes in them and there for the DEL's only, but there maybe a way to fix this, get the parts off a SS/LT bumper and your good to go.

So am I to understand that adding the undertray may be counter-productive? And the ZL1 wheel-wells are necessary to keep airflow positive, correct?

Th undertray directs the air to the engine and then out the back and sides, benefiting both the engine and lower turbulence.
Re: verboten Some of that might be true if this were on on old VW site but in water cooled engines almost no engine cooling is accomplished by air flow over the engine itself. That's why water cooled engines don't have fins. Some airflow through the engine compartment in needed mostly to cool electronic componants but the undertray actually closes off (restricts airflow) most of the underside of the engine compartment to prevent lift while the extractor hood maintains airflow through the radiator. Just take a look at how airflow is managed in race cars & exotic supercars. Some all but seal off the engine from air flow. Some have full belly pans with no air coming from anywhere but under the splitter. But, they all have huge volume radiators with huge amounts of air directed through them.

Also, the video I mentioned from the Chevy site illustrates these things beautifully. http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-zl1-...ce-sports-car/ "Phase 4, Harnessing The Air"

That's what I was looking for. So you are saying that I don't need the DRL reatiners I purchased? Once again, I guess I'll find out when I'm installing but I hate diving into projects without a game plan.
Also, I got the ZL-1 fender liners and didn't realize there was an actual duct. So do I have to buy the part Ofer posted in #1961 or am I good without it?

If you want to have the brake coolers then yes. There are a total of 4 parts 2SSRS has 2 of them the other 2 are not avaiable yet.
