New member, 2SS w/RS Convertible.
Hey guys...finally picked up my new baby tonight....2012 2SS RS Convertible Black/Black with Silver Rally Stripes. Just got home an hour ago, so I will try and post the pics soon.
Quick question, when I went to sign off after inspecting it...I noticed what looks like spider web swirl marks in the paint. Like they used a dirty cloth when they detailed it. They are all over! Can I get rid of these swirl marks? Is this something I should be worried about? The damn thing is brand new! My wife and I pointed the marks out and I initially got "it's a black car...you're going to see things like that"...sure I can understand that, but not when it's brand new. Anyways, they are having me bring it back in next week for a complete detail and wax job...they said they would take care of it. Should I let them touch it again? I yield to you guys, who have way more expeirence...what do you guys think? Am i just being anal? Marc |

Here are the only two I have, snapped them right before I went to sign the paper work.
Oh...and thanks for the Private offer info, I totally caught the guys off guard carrying that in with me after we already settled on the price!   That's the wife in the background checking her crackberry...lol.

Damn thats a fine Camaro ! Mine had the slight swirls in her paint when i picked her up also !

Make sure before you put on your tonneu cover , put a blanket between to keep rub marks out. Also keeps cover tighter.

cflbuckeye, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Dont let anyone touch your paint. Goto the car wash section here, figure out what you need and do it yourself. I wouldn't take my car by to a dealer unless its absolutely necessary.
