Well I got to be a good several months behind on the car payments (long story as always), and I did manage to scrape together just enough cash to let me keep the car until the month of April this year. But with April being tax month, and I am going to be owing alot of taxes to the IRS this year; I figured I better save my money, and do the right thing. So in very early March, I called the bank and got it worked out where I ended up finally dropping the Camaro "Christine", off at the bank branch. My dad picked me up and drove me to lunch. I left all of the paperwork, manuals, factory paperwork, bills of sale, title, brochures, financing paperwork, everything in the car; and the keys to the bank manager. The car is going to auction, but I dont know when exactly or where, but I live near Lexington, KY.. The car is fully loaded (V6, 6 speed manual, 10,500 miles, a few light scratches that can be buffed out) with stripes and tinted windows, plus I left the lifetime XM subscription active. I hope that will get me the best bidder at the auction when it sells.
Anyways, now that my '11 Camaro has left me for another strange weird guy, should I remain a member to this forum, or should I just delete my account? I no longer have any vehicle to drive, with the exception of a 1999 Peterbilt 379 that I drive to make money, and I have no idea when or if I will buy another Camaro any time soon. Your kind gentle thoughts, questions, sympathies are appreciated. My heart has been aching bad the whole time I have been on this site, I feel like I am going through a bad divorce! I will try to answer any questions or replies as soon as I am able to. My payment was $635 a month and I had no problems making that for the most part. But when I moved into my now ex-girlfriends house in another state, and I had to cover the $850 rent, towards the end when I lost my job and had to move again after selling another vehicle; I quickly got very far behind on the car payments. I couldn't even afford the insurance either. I could have kept the Camaro for a little while longer, but sooner or later, it would have been towed away from me; which hurts much far worse. My Carmaro spent a good 2 months in hiding in my dad's garage, not being able to go anywhere, in fear of being towed, and I had trouble paying the insurance anyway. So this is long enough for now, I will let you post your replies, and again, please be kind & gentle? Your talking to a VERY deeply hurt guy.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I would stay on the site, just to keep up with what is going on in the community and to stay connected with your fellow enthusiasts. Every dark cloud has a silver lining, you just have to looks for it sometimes.

Good luck. Auctions are brutal. My daughter just lost her car that way and it was in immaculate condition, only had 25K miles and was a 2008. High book was 16K and the lowest book I could find on the car was 14K. Again, this car was mint! No scratches, perfect rubber, clean interior, all services done, CVT tranny, loaded! They sold it for 12K and billed her for the difference of $4000. Nice huh?

Thanks guys! @SixGracing......dam! Even though you spent all that time and money to get the best auction sell, you still ended upside down! That dont make me feel too good. I tried to stress to the bank everything the car had, so they could pass it on to the auction people. I will get home late next week to check the mail for any paperwork or news from the bank. I would guess it would take a few more months at most? @figjam-5, ouch! Less than 20 years at a company and your gone?! That's aweful! I feel bad for you, that kind of makes me feel a little better driving a truck, people still have to eat. I had plans to turn my Camaro interior into a Boeing 747 airliner, with lights and buttons to call a flight stewardess from the galley to bring you a drink. I planned to wire in a few LED lights with the "No Smoking" & "Fasten Seat Belt" emblems right underneath the ceiling indicator console. I wanted that soft tone to sound through the speakers. Anyway, I just dont know right now if I will get another Camaro, or if I should try to buy a new Kenworth truck 12 years from now. I will probably stay on the site to answer some questions about the car. I am being tempted to buy one of those super sporty Mercades that cost around $65,000. I am actually going through alot of hearthache and withdrawls!

Ooops, I forgot to mention my Camaro has the K&N airfilter too. I am not sure if I mentioned that to the bank, hopefully the auctioneers or buyers will figure it out; theres no sticker for the filter on the car.

Hey Chris, I feel your pain. I had a pretty rough time from 2008 to 2011. Money was an issue, holding onto a good paying job was another, But one thing that didn't always remain constant was believing in myself. In early 2011 I was selling something that I never thought I would end up doing and it was barely making me enough money to live on. I was staying with some people and they no longer wanted me there because I was bringing them down. I saw the writing on the wall, but I somehow didn't panic, I had spent some time thinking about all the things that I have learned and realized that I'm better than this, and I started to believe in myself again.
Something magical happened shortly after my little pep talk, I started getting phone calls from companies wanting to utilize my services( I had left my resume up on Monster.com) and that got the ball rolling to working for a temp agency in manufacturing(my background) While I was working, at least 2 to 3 times a week I would get emails from companies that wanted to talk to me. The beginning of March 2011, I was working for this one mfg. co. and by the middle of March, I had gotten an interview with another company(which was a 10x better place to work for). During the interview, I was so pumped by being there, they noticed that and granted me another interview. Things just fell into place. They hired me and my date of hire was April 11, 2011. I'm still here. One of the best companies I've ever worked for, love it here. Since I've been here, I've managed to secure a fantastic Condo to rent, completely furnished it with a new Bedroom set, living room set, Entertainment Set( Including a Large HDTV) paid everthing in cash. My next goal is the Camaro. I've been a member here since 2009, but have been more active for the last few months because I like reading what's going on the Camaro community and I can learn here too about some of the things I might want to do when I finally get my Camaro. You should NOT stop being a member here, but you could take some time away if that is what you need to do. You never know if when you here that you could provide some insight to another fellow member or vice versa. Chris, remember...listen to that inner voice you have and do what's right, the rest will follow ...oh, and try to find things that you are thankful for, it will help to put you in the positive state of mind. FEEL GOOD
