InCar video of LSX Gen5 Elims in Bradenton

Here is a video of the Eliminations last weekend in Bradenton. We drove a long way and had about 30 mins of sleep Saturday morning.

Got to meet lots of awesome people, and it was the best series we have ever ran. Not to mention the caliber of the drivers in the Gen5 class. A little intimidating the first time out. Not gonna lie, we got lucky and its gonna be a real tough season.

Look forward to the other 3 races. Car was bone stock at this race, but found out fast that it slows down in the heat (.4-.5) so working with coldairinductions.com on a CAI to drop IAT's, PTC converter, and radials before the next event.

Thanks Padre!

Like I said, its going to be a long season and lots of tough competition. We got lucky and had a good .10 package for that track which was good enough to get the win this time.

Now we have some time between the next race, I can finally log some data and see why its slowing down so much in the heat. The DA was actually higher at Bradenton than my local track and it slowed down a bunch.

We worked with our new sponsor, ColdAirInductions for a CAI and it will be here in a week. So that should help keep the IATs down and KR. So it shouldnt pull as much timing and be more consistent.

We really want to have a .05-08 package for the rest of the races, and thats gonna be challenging with the changing tracks and conditions. But with some more test data we will get a handle on it.

Thanks a lot Bill!

Really appreciate you taking all the time out on the phone and email to explain how we can better control AIT (Air Intake Temps) with your CAI product vs. the factory design. And why thats important.

As a racer, this is going to make us more consistent. The engine will pull less timing due to cooler AITs, slightly less fuel trim, and should help pick up ET needed in the heat and elevation to be more competitive.

Really look forward to seeing the kit in black. Its going to look real clean under the hood.

Thanks again for coming onboard as a sponsor, and helping with our race program. Hopefully the weather will be good, and we can get back to testing this weekend.

Josh

Hey Josh, you know I have this CAI on my car. I wonder if that is why I have been running consistent times the past 2 weekends even though last weekend times were roughly the same with new headers but 20+ degrees warmer. See ya at the track tomorrow. What time you thinking about getting there?

Hey Man. Yeah your car is the first one that I saw in person! I was really impressed, and after talking to the guys and Cold Air Inductions that sealed the deal on my CAI choice. Can't wait for it to get here

I am sure it's related to your cars consistency. Our cars were real close a couple weekends ago at Steele. Then I went to Bradenton with 10 degrees hotter weather and my car slowed down .3-.5 in the heat. I know that I had heat soak, and the IATs were climbing- so the car pulled timing.

Yeah I'm going tomorrow to test. Will be there when the gates open and leave when they close
