If you like driving with your windows, you'll love this sunroof. It helps cool the interior quicker on a warm day. I'm sure you've notice setting in a showroom car how confining it is, the sunroof helps open up the interior.

On mild days, nice to just open it up; not too breezy.

For me the moonroof was a must-have. In fact that may have been the tie-breaker when comparing to the mustang which does not have that option. Mine is always open unless it is raining.

I do need to agree with other comments about the noise. But I've found that gets better with the windows open. And I sure wish it was auto-close.

Depends on what you want. I did not want anything unnecessary to affect the overall stability, sturdiness or rigidity of the vehicle.

sunroof means potential leakage and less headroom

For the cost of the Anniversary package and the sunroof you could get an SS.

Why would anyone ever open a SUNroof w/o opening the side windows?? That's just asking for noise and pressure build up. The sunroof on the camaro isn't half as noisy as the g6 so I have no idea what ppl are talking about the 'noise' for.

Highway driving! I can have my fresh air and at least less noise. No sound from cars on either side. My previous car did not have nearly the noise with the sunroof open. Might be the angle of the glass, the size of the opening, who knows. And yes, everything open is "plan A".

Personally I've been digging the Moonroof/Sunroof for nearly two years now...No drips or leaks, or operational issues. Its a great feature I would'nt trade away for two mohawks. Being able to look up at the stars and moon on clear nights along with being surrounded by the hues of color cast from the dash, gauge and ambient lighting glowing through out the cabin.......... is like being the captain of a galatic star cruiser or fighter, Capt. Jim would be jealous. The breath of fresh air and sunshine thats possible having it open on a long trip or week-end cruise is awe inspiring and never boring or tiring. Fact is whether your piloting the car or riding along as the passenger, it takes mere moments with the roof panel pulled backwards to realize all the things you'd miss seeing otherwise without the feature. Its the most enjoyable feature of the car........especially as you catch a fleeting glance of a golden hawk pass by or the sight of a lone majestic eagle soaring over head........... as though its following and watching over you on your travels. If you plan on using your car at a drag strip.............its a "Not to do without" feature to help clear the air of smoke after doing the initial tire warm up. These are just a few reasons I find having the aforementioned Moonroof/Sunroof exciting and well worth a few well spent dollars..............In a nutshell, its the icing on the cake and a great investment in permanent permagrin...............if there is such a thing. Oh! and I'm one of the shorties round here @ 6'5":-)

Oh and for the record, having 6 factory and 1 dealer-installed sunroof, I would say you can't go wrong with a factory roof. My daughter had problems with a factory roof broken after 5 years, but even then the dealer covered most of the repair cost. Dealer-installed is purely a turkey shoot. IMHO they never look right, and mine was noisy as hell, with no way to fix it.
