You might have missed it Jay, but he said the 258rwhp was before his mods and he intends to go back for another run soon.

258rwhp and 228 TQ sounds spot on for the automatic LFX to me. Sounds like you have a nicely adjusted dyno there!

Here you go. My mistake also, the TQ is closer to 227 than 228. Peak HP is right around 6500 and the run was in 3rd gear. KMPrenger is right, this is baseline stock. Haven't gone back yet but aim to soon. The shop (SS Performance, here in Tallahassee) was having a grand opening and offering runs for $50 when they're normally $75 so I jumped on it before I did the mods about a week later.

Thanks fsusmith,

Look like it peaked out right before 6500 rpm. Just as I thought.

and LFX do run alot leaner than the LLT as vince told me before. Looking at smith's graph the AFR is over 13. Maybe GM realized that they didn't need to run so rich with direct injected engines. One of the beauty of DI is that we can get away with less fuel since it spray directly in the combustion chamber. I never understood why the LLT was so rich from factory.

The dyno def does look correctly adjusted. That is one of the beauty of loaded dynos. Adjustment on the fly

Have a 2012 camaro with the LFX V-6 and six speed manual and have only bumped the rev limited once at 7200rpms. What gives with your LFX hitting the limiter at 6500?

First off, he didn't hit the rev limiter...he hit the MPH limiter.

2nd...unless they raised the rev limiter in the LFX versus the LLT (which I don't think they did) you didn't hit 7,200 rpm.

He has 18" wheels from factory which limit the speed to 118 I believe. No v6 camaro go pass 7k unless you been tuned to go pass the 7k rev limiter.

Car specs from the manufacturers are measured at the engines crankshaft... These dyno runs measure the HP at the wheels... there is some HP loss transferring the power from the engine to to the wheels... which is why dynos have lower numbers...

Is there any way to measure hp at the crank?

Then I have a factory freak because I've had my LFX to 7000rpm's several times and did hit the limiter the only time it bumped 7200. Could the camaros with automatics be set up different than the manual transmission camaros? Mine is a manual...
