I looked at both, with and without a sunroof. To me the headroom wasn't an issue but coming from a C6 with a glass top I remembered how damn hot the car got. Even with the cover under it. On colder days it was colder in the car because of the glass. So with that in mind I opted against it. I'm sure I'll regret it on those perfect evenings but that's only about 6 days a year anyway. Lol

Doubting the quality of GM's sun roof? tisk, tisk. Sounds like someone who wasn't able to get the sun roof. I've seen many great responses pointing to what makes a sun roof great. Is an inch difference in headroom really going to make a difference, maybe if your 6'5''. Not too many people happen to be that tall. I'm 6'1'' and have no issues. Yes, I can see wearing a helmet being a problem but most of us aren't racing our DD at the track or at least not religiously. The sunroof is great on a sunny day, let the light in and feel the breeze. At night you have the moonlight and the stars. The question is, why wouldn't you get one unless your just racing your Camaro? The reverse mohawk looking cool( which it does) really isn't much of an argument over the sunroof but to each their own. Either way you go its an awesome ride.

Actually, I think it's a huge argument, considering almost anyone that would buy a Camaro is obviously extremely interested/concerned/obssessive about exactly how their car looks.

Thats a beautiful example but its only missing one feature to make it a absolutely perfect example.................. a sunroof.

If you are not sure then you should get it. I have one and have only opened it once (to make sure it was working properly). I prefer the A/C and darkness...BUT I like having the option.

LOL... I've got a convertible if I want to have my head in the wind. (can't say hair, bcs I shave it off)

On a fixed roof car I never had a sunroof, and never will have one.

Besides, it IS true, on the Camaro the reverse mohawk does make the roof look a lot cooler.

Though personal opinions vary wildly on the pro's and con's...........in all actuality the models with sunroofs open on hot days............looks cooler, in all reality because they are......

The indentation running the length of the roofline of Gen5 hardtops that collects debri.............instead of a hump of metal that looks like a Mohican Indian's hairdo................running the length of the roof line.

Instead of the middle stuck up, like a mohawk, the middle is indented.

The sunroof loses you about 2 inches, so we didn't get one. I don't think my 6'1" SO (SSO? Har har) would be comfy in it. But it depends on whether you are long-legged or long-torsoed, because I've seen taller people say it is fine. And remember you do have adjustable power seats, be sure & put it down as far as you can.

I personally feel hemmed in without one, but that's the claustrophobia in me talking.
