Has GM gone too far? Why does everything look like a Camaro?
Here is some rear end pics of some 2013-14 models... The Impala and Vette rears are VERY similar...

Well, those first two images are renderings from magazines and aren't from GM.
The last picture is the 2013 Chevy Mailbu. You're opposed if GM uses traits from a successful car like the Camaro? Would you prefer them to use traits from less successful cars, like Pontiac Aztek? Really, I'm not understanding the issue here....

That '13 Malibu is a very nice car in person. Contemplating trading in the wife's '05 STS for it. Going for a test drive soon as my local dealer just got them in.

Similar taillights not make a camaro copy. Besides every car maker shares styling cues across models to kept brand identy.

First photo is a concept from forever ago.
Second photo is just a rendering. Nobody outside of GM knows what the C7 taillights look like. Third photo is the only legitimate one...and who cares? They look good on Malibu. In any case, as someone said, the Camaro's taillights are Corvette inspired in the first place.

If that silver Corvette is going to be an actual car, and not a concept, I like it. If that is a true picture, then I think the Camaro rear ends are just continuing to carry on a proven look that sells cars.

That Corvette rearend rendering is pretty accurate, according to people who really know. Full "accurate" renderings are available on Japlonik's website. I think they are Camaro-ish...but not exact copies...only a the full release will tell.
