ask yourself..when you get it home

-raining out...nope can't get it wet
-snowing...good god no
-sunny...nope harmfull ultra violet
-overcast...nope might hail
-windy...nope something might blow onto it

-then there birds,playing kids,parking lots,mud,pot holes,flying truck rocks,deer crossings,crazy cats,pollen,bugs etc etc etc

nope you can't be to careful...i say trailer it home, and put inside garage, and wrap it in giant plastic bubble....

I am considering ordering a "body-in-white" for my next race car. I will trailer that home. Of course, it wont have a motor, suspension, wheels....etc, etc. lol

No, this does not make you a pansy. It was more likely something that happened to you in your childhood.

I'm going to trailer mine and place it in a plastic bubble when I get home.
Drive it!!!! That's why you bought it. If you just want to look at it, there are plenty of pictures on this awesome site.

I say trailer it.
I got a stone chip on the front bumper of my Colorado when I drove it home from the dealer the day I took delivery of it. And that was only 8-10 miles. I was pi**ed as hell.

My C/E has only 1,600 miles on it. It sits in the garage only to go to car shows. There's nothing wrong with that.

I believe in preserving our automotive history for future generations to enjoy. And I also believe in treating my stuff with respect and not to beat the hell out of it.

Me
Out having years of fun driving my Camaro SS.

(Garage Queen owners)
This sure is exciting staring at my car in the garage.

The Camaro SS is a mass produced vehicle that will surely decrease in value like a rock dropped from an airplane.

I say have fun. Why buy a Camaro SS and let it sit in a garage? Thats like living next at Disney land and never riding a ride.

I take great care of all my cars. But I also use them and have fun driving them. There's no reason why someone can't do both.

Thumbs up

I won't be trailering it home. I only live maybe 15 miles away from the dealer. (OF COURSE, I haven't ordered one,....YET!!!)
BUT,....Once that bad boy gets home, it most likely will see no action and sit safely in the garage and go to car shows only.
Do what you want man. It's your car.

Find out the closest car rental location to you dealer and do a one way rental from Houston to your dealer. Drop the rental off and have the dealer pick you up at the rental office.

is there only one road leading from the dealer to your house? go around.... take the "scenic" route and enjoy the car.

tho I have offered a few local members to tow their cars to downtown charleston (butt loads of construction) for pictures and whatnot.

Wow man just bite the bullet and drive her home. After all did you buy it to drive it or to watch it sit in the garage?
