White and Cyber Gray stripes are installed at the factory, the rest are dealer installed.

With factory actually meaning the car may be transported to Whitby, Ontario (down the road) to have the stripes applied.. then shipped back to the plant in Oshawa for QC.

Guys (and Gals) - I just Google'd my VIN... my dealer actually has my car listed on their website.... the picture isn't right but the details and the VIN sure are. It's really freaking me out, so much for getting any sleep tonight.

Check this out!! http://www.classicchevytx.com/VehicleDetails/408112453

Man, are they gonna get a phone call first thing in the morning... if I don't just wake up and drive over so I am there when the doors open! It's not on the lot, that I know, but what the heck! I ordered from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine because they have a really good reputation - fBodFather was even there this past week for the 5/6 kickoff - but with all the horror stories, it's hard not to be <cough>concerned</cough> to say the least!

Anyone have thoughts on a legitimate reason this might be happening, before I go in there and let someone have a piece of my mind tomorrow (albeit sanely)? Thanks in advance.

its probably automated. nothing to worry about.i

it appears that the chevy site wont work until the car has been invoiced. your dealer can see it once its built.

Of the two or three people on this forum that could have replied and set my mind at ease, at least until I talk nicely with the dealer tomorrow, you're one of them UCF.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I am working on that! Haha.. The name of the place that does the stripes, in the event your car was sent out, is on the right hand side of the window sticker. I won't name them here, but I plan to ask them what their turnaround time is, as well as any other information they can/will share.

I called them too late on Friday, they were already closed, so I'll try again on Monday. If I am able to find anything out, I'll share it here.

Okay, so I talked to the Dealership this morning. Looks like they are using my car as bait, along with a couple of others, just to be able to list cars on their website, etc. Can't say that I am a fan of that practice, , but we confirmed that my car is in fact my car, and that the heart palpitations I experienced last night can subside today.

Upside is he printed out my event codes status/dates, so I'll be swinging by to pick that up today.... another item for the scrap book. Right now, my status remains at 4B00 - Bayed, no doubt while they work to address the recall on the starter cable (I've confirmed my VIN is on that list).

Thanks again for your reply last night, UCF.

Yes and no. Yes, in that someone on this forum has the list (or at least visibility into the list) and reached out to me via PM. No, in that I promised not to reveal my source less he/she/they get bombarded by messages and requests.
