Exclamation Large THR Thank you

I wanted to just put something together as I feel a huge thank you is due.

All of my life, I've been around Camaros just as many of you. My father had a 1968 SS, my mother had 1979 and 1985 Camaros. My father ran a 1967 Camaro in NHRA Super Street for most of my childhood.

Coming from a Hyundai Genesis Coupe (which was nothing but problems) I wanted to give the Camaro a try as I had passed it up the previous time I was car searching and ended up with the Hyundai. So I didn't want to make the same mistake twice.

I knew going into this that I wanted the Imperial Blue, and I loved the gfx and high spoiler package. However, as I kept going through the GM Configurator, I quickly learned that if I wanted IBM, I was going to have to give up the gfx and spoiler.

Around November, upon MANY recommendations, I took a trip of Tom Henry Chevy (short distance from my home). Usually when you walk into a dealership, you never intend on meeting the owner of the dealership. However, it was Tom that approached me moments after walking into the dealership, and helped me all along the way.

I explained to Tom what I was looking for, the difficulties of the color configuration, and the concern I had read by many people regarding IBM's demise. Tom assured me that everything could be taken care of when I was ready to order the car, and he WOULD make sure that the car was everything I hoped it to be. This included:

1. IBM 2SS/RS Camaro
2. GFX ordered and painted by body shop to be perfect match to car
3. High spoiler ordered and painted by body shop to be perfect match to car.
4. THR Exhaust

Tom answered every question I had, either at the dealership or by email whenever one came into my head. Truly, a wonderful gentleman to work with.

I won't bore you with further details, but last week, after 2 month of waiting for the car to arrive, and another month worth the work to make her exactly as I wanted her (decided on the heritage grill during the order time lol) My Camaro was ready. Rick, as many of you THR guys know, did wonderful work with the car, making it match entirely and doesn't suffer from any of the mixed paint colors that the factory tends to do. Everything was wonderful.

Another person I can't leave out of this thanks is John D. While Tom has been busy of late working on a new dealership, John D took over handling any concerns I had in regards to the car and helped make this dealership experience a memorable one.

So, I apologize for the long thread, but I truly wanted to thank Tom Henry, Rick, John D, and his entire staff for giving me a great car.

And without further adu, my car:

Thank you for your time.

Congrats!

Although I am not a fan of the high spoiler, that's one good looking ride. =D

Congrats on the new ride! I met Mr. Henry several years ago at an SLP event and he seemed like a good person. He made me want to travel to go buy a car from him. :-)

I will have my first Tom Henry experience on Monday when I take the car in for its first state inspection. I hope it's as good as yours!

I would have loved to dealt with them in person but being on the other side of the state it was much easier for him to bring the car to me, which they did flawlessly (one week before my wedding, what a surprise for her!). Met him at Oshawa, you made a great choice.

Welcome to the THR Family.

I agree, I bought my THR Camaro from FL and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It was so worth the logistics of getting my car from PA when you consider how they give you the ability to make the car your own.

Congrats on your new camaro! Nice color!

And your purchase was a memorable story, surprising your wife to be with a Synergy Green car. I remember telling my paint guy, Bob Scott, no pressure, but this is a wedding present and it has to be out of here!
