Just saw my first Camaro - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey yall. Long time viewer, never really posted before, but this is my first. I was at wal-mart today, and I saw a Silver 2SS with black stripes. I know, this is pointless without pictures. I asked the guy if I could take a picture, and he said yeah, but I was kinda shaking I was so excited about seeing it, I completely forgot to take one by the time he drove off. hahah. But the guy said he was on here, so this I guess is a weak attempt at seeing who I met this afternoon. It was the Wal-Mart in Lexington, VA, and he said he got his car from a dealership in West Virginia..

Hopefully this week I'll "take delivery."

But yeah, for those of yall who haven't seen one yet, the pictures truly don't do this car justice.. I'm wasn't too excited about the silver color, but seeing it in person with black stripes just made me that much more excited about my black on black 2ss/rs.

yeah I saw my first one today too (admittantly I have not gone to any dealers specifically, or any car shows).

Wife was driving home from lunch as we went by a local multi-brand car dealer, they had one parked on the lawn out front. Looked like an RS in silver. I yell out Hey look they have a Camaro at this place now

I would have made her stop for a closer look, but we were pressed for time.

Asked her what she thought of it - "didn't really like it... didn't think it would look like that". Whatever thats supposed to mean.
She's not an enthusiest, but does know good cars (Audi A4).
But then again it was a 15 second visual from across 4 lanes.

I really need a good up close and drive one of these. I'm willing to wait, my current car (an 03 BMW 330xi) is a really good car so I'm in no hurry.
And I have GMSupplier that I do want to take advantage of.
I know dealers are taking it, but in my area the newspapers show GMS price less $3500 for most everything they sell. Who knows if this car would ever get to that level. Vettes did. Took a couple years tho.

Since this place is on my way home from work, I'll see it every day. Will bring my camera next week and when I stop I'll see if they let me take it for a ride.
