Got it installed today.
It took me about 5 hours. I took my time, had breakfast, coffee, and what not... Brought the box and supplies inside the house and did the wire up and preparation of the box before taking apart the car trunk area.I read the instructions about 3 times last night... Re-read threads on here last night and today and felt confident I was ready to rock! Overall a very simple installation... I did nick the speaker cover / protector with the drill gun ... Grrrr... But not very noticeable. ![]() I have to tweak the settings. Got the last of the remote bass control in and hidden just as it started to sprinkle rain here .... Anyone have suggestions on where they like the settings on the amp knobs? Maybe a good starting point? I couldn't say enough good things about the kit. It really makes it easy to put a sub in and an amp!!! Good package Steve!!!! ![]() ![]() Julio

I got mine in yesterday too. Also took 5 hours with 2 people working it. One in the trunk and the other outside the car. I did not install the remote bass knob. I may add it later.
It was not that hard but it was tedious since I took my time moving the wires and per Steve's guide. Then running the power and ground took some time. As for settings, I set the LPF at 80, gain and bass boost wound up at around 1/4 of the dial. As for the head unit I found I had to set the fader to 7 towards the rear to balance out everything. The kit contained everything I needed except: Harness clamps self tapping screws enough tie wraps screws to mount the speaker to the box Where did you put the fuse? I would up tie wrapping mine to the battery mount as shown below.

I tie wrapped the fuse to the main line coming off the battery...Right below the corner bend reinforcement for the main cable. A little forward of where you have it, took off the nut on the post of the battery and connected there. I wanted to ground to the battery so I cut the extra power cable away and used that to give me enough line torun back down to the battery negative and marked it with a black sharpie for idiot proofing. I capped the ends until I was ready to connect them to the amp. Then I put the carpets back after power and ground connection to battery.
I had to go out for the screws for the speaker.. Home depot run! I also grabbed zip ties and self tapping screws for sheet metal as well as some cable clamps. I ended up using some adhesive zip tie clamps to hold some cables out of the way rather than the sheet metal screws. I also zip tied all of the power wires together along the cable channel. Last connection I made was the remote wire while my son held the box in the trunk at an angle so I could screw it down tightly. Then pushed the box into place and voila. It's a very snug fit and it's not going anywhere. Nice work again on Steve's part. I screwed the speaker and grille down after I laid the box into the trunk. I think my amp settings are darn spot on to yours. I haven't changed the forward /rear balance yet, but did take all radio gains to zero.

I wound up grounding behind the stealth box. I used an existing hole, sanded away some paint and put a bolt thru it.
I had the box completely wired with the sub, grill and amp all set to go. I left the remote turn on, ground and power a little long so I had some play to hook up the wires before I slid the box in place. Last thing I hooked up was the power to the battery.

And mine
Here's a shot of my completed ******** install.
I would take a few more, but I just don't want to see the inside of my trunk for about two to three weeks! LOL ![]() Looks great... sounds great... and I am a happy camper! Next up (within about 2 months)... replace the factory amp and factory 6x9 speakers with some better stuff for a crisper, and cleaner sound. So there's a FARK and 6x9 ******** brackets in the near future for me. In the immediate future, I've got the Dodge style cup holder illumination coming and LED interior light this week. J

For the cup holder kit, check out www.sjmautoprod.com I ordered the door handle illumination kit from him with the GM Ice blue LED's as well. Good stuff. For the thread, do a search on cup holder illumination. Julio

I just got mine installed. Had absolutely no idea what I was doing but everything appears to be working. Obviously I still have some wiring to tuck away and covers to install but then I'll be done.
Sounds nice and powerful but this was probably a little bit of overkill for what I needed. I just wanted to add a little kick to my country although my wife likes to shake the windows I don't know a lot of about adjusting settings on a sub but hopefully I'll be able to dial this thing in to give the sound I want. I have a couple of rattles in the car I'll have to address but I'm happy with the quality of this system. I can't believe it all fit into the trunk as nicely as it did. I'm definitively glad I didn't wast my time on a two sub box as I cannot imagine ever needed more bass that this.
