410-440whp? Wouldn't with a new pump that will put out the pressure we be able to afely put us at about 10psi that would be over 500 to wheels if I'm correct

well, he said with the stock fuel injectors thats what you would get. Im sure the engine is capable of hitting that potentially with other mods, but with the stock components and this fuel pump, 430-440rwhp.

Jesse- I will have them email me the pic of the dyno tomorrow. Should be around 370 again..I will post it on here.

Yea those numbers seem like SC kit numbers not turbo numbers. You should be well above 400rwhp with a turbo kit. I will be on the dyno very soon, looking like next week. I'm using a Meth kit but it's being used as a safety precaution for now till everything is dialed in right. Later I will adjust it for extra boost. Gretchen was at about 420-430rwhp when first dyno'd last year at 5-6psi's I think. It's well over that now with the same injectors and on meth.

Never mind for some reason I'm thinking we have the same size turbo's so your power level maybe right

Well I feel like this would definitely be the way to go rather than the hassle of having a meth kit. I think its worth waiting for rather than having a temporary meth kit that I would take off when this comes out.

i have got the sts kit with meth injection and i have gotten up to 10.2 psi. i never got the reduced power code but i did get the traction control warning at 120 mph. on my last dyno i got 415 rwhp and the next thing im getting is a black isolator and vmax tb since i live in orlando and so close to tracy. i should be at 440 rwhp or close to that with the stock fuel pump.

I have asked this question before however i will ask it again. I have heard that there aren't any benefits to having a ported throttle body for FI purposes.

I think that may be incorrect. FI is increasing airflow. The way I understand it is an increase in airflow is an increase n power. The ported IM supposedly increases HP by 20 over the stock IM. How could a SC or turbo not benefit from that?

^^ this...I have it all ported except the heads and the power is VERY noticeable. The less restriction the air has the better the FI kits will work. It's even noticeable in the low end out of boost. The TB is like 4-5rwhp alone, then the insulator is like 20rwhp, and I don't think the IM has been tested. But who can deny it won't perform ported and matched to everything around it.

Ya the meth kit will make the car able to run on its stock fuel pump. However, in my opinion, I would not want to deal with that for the time being having to check it all the time and make sure my meth level is ok. I think I would rather wait for this alternative.

Actually... use your windshield washer bottle... I believe the Camaro's washer bottle has a low level sensor/switch... so when your W/M gets low you get a warning on the DIC... IIRC...

Dobbins, be sure you ask them lots of questions before buying one. A lot of people assume they have a pump for the V6 because it is just a Camaro. However, we have two pumps as you know. Make sure they are talking about something that augments the High-Pressure Fuel Pump and is capable of 2000+ psi and the injectors are capable of 2400+ psi. As far as I know, no one has shown our injectors are the issue, so I'm just a little worried they may be thinking the car is port injected.

I hope they are correct as this would be a huge bonus. Dobbins, can you have them contact me? I can share a ton of info on what we have found to date and what we need. This would be awesome if it turns out. And we have the same conclusion, the injectors have the ability it is the HPDI pump that is falling short. Also, check with some of the other STS owners that have had us correct the crankcase evac so yu can avoid some issues.

Like I said in the other post! I love it when Gretchen and Scrming come and clean up threads. The GodFathers of the LLT have spoken.
