I wave when I ride, not when I drive.

I don't wave, I do make eye contact however, and if someone waves I will wave back.

I ignore mustangs and challengers. I ignore all ford products.

4genners don't really respect 5th gen camaros so I don't wave at them, though I respect their cars.

Did that once when I was a wild and reckless youth... my passenger took the wheel, held the gas, while I dropped trou and issued a full moon out of the driver's side window.

That particular car had one of those door locks with the little knob on the top. Well, that one ended up with TWO knobs on top of it. Very effective learning tool.

I wave to camaros and corvettes. So many of the camaro drives I see are oblivious though, and I feel like most of them might as well be driving a civic. :(

The highbeam flash is new to me - if someone flashed their brights at me I would have thought they were just being a dick. Maybe it's a MI thing, but people flash their brights if they come up on you on the freeway and want you to get out of the left lane. I never have, just witnessed others doing it. Usually I see people flash their brights to signal "cop ahead" (two flashes) or to give people right of way.

I'll wave to anyone who waves at me including little kids on the sidewalk yelling look it's bumblebee!

Maybe she just has the A/C on a bit too chilly.

This generation has co-opted the peace sign. It's now called "throwing up deuces" and it can mean "wuddup yo" or "I'm outta here g." If you are extra cool, you can throw your deuces at an angle with guido lips aka Zoolander "Blue Steele."

Gotta be careful, though... take it too far, and throw a backhand peace sign, and it's going to be misinterpreted!

The black guys do it cool....they give a little knowing finger point with the thumb up. I'm adopting that as my official Camaro wave!!!

Same thing here in wisconsin for the highbeams. To me it means turn your damn brights off or turn on your headlights. In other words, I take high beams as an insult Guess i've never thought of it as being a compliment...

Sorry, compulsive storyteller here... usually from the days of my much- more- exciting youth.

Was moving fast in my ol' Cutlass one evening, doing about 100 MPH. The country road I was on had a slight rise to it, and I tried to make a regular habit of catching some air on it. Sounds a lot scarier than it really was, as it was a long, gentle hill, and the angle of the road made it a pretty gentle liftoff, and a gentle landing. Anyway, an oncoming car started flashing his brights at me. Naturally, I hit my high beams to teach that guy a little lesson...

As we passed each other though, my young wheels started turning, and I thought, "There's no way that guy REALLY thought I had my brights on to start with... I wonder if he was trying to warn me of something?" As this thought materialized, I hit the brakes, and hit them hard.

Damn good thing, too... came over the rise, to find a cow sleeping in the road directly in my path. Since I had already dropped down to about about 50 MPH, I was able to avoid making beef.

Sure, the other car maybe coulda signalled me differently (I prefer to turn my lights on and off to signal others of a hazard)... but it was his split- second reaction. I owe that guy... maybe even my life.

Sounds like the same generation that things fist pumping and Jersey Shore (on MTV) is cool...

The proper wave is to just Nod your head slightly (as to say whats up) in acknowledgement, but do not make hand gestures at all, since in case the hand gesture is misinterpreted, you may regret the results.

2) The better response is the Zombie look. Look straight ahead and do nothing and have zero facial expression. I always do that. Like I am staring into space. This guarantees nothing is misinterpreted. It will look like you are catatonic or insane, but if you look like this, you dont have to worry about someone thinking you are arrogant or a snob. the zombie look.

A variation of the Zombie look is to include having your mouth open and do not move your mouth at all while it's open. this enhances the zombie affect look.
