Well guys (and girls) since I know many don't follow the 'vert page... I'me nearing a cross roads...

After a year of ownership, which included 8 trips to the service depatment, a new window regulator, 3 new tops, repaired seat, ac controls, repainted engine bay and nearly 45 days out-of-service; my Better Buisness Bureau claim is nearing resolve-

that resolve is:

GM can't fix my car. Now they're offering a buy-back.

Of course this is at the depreciated, market value... not including all my mods.

So basically, I say "No' and lose my warranty (as they acknowledged the problem and offered to buy-back the car) while maintaining my faulty top or I say "Yes" and lose roughly $20k.

I'm in a real sh!tty situation here. I have one last hope, this Wednesday, I have a meeting in Orlando with a regional field tech to assess my car and evaluate my options. While it's not looking promising, they did say they're open to potential ideas on my part, so maybe I can work something out then... fingers crossed.

Not a good day in Camaro-land for me...

I'm broke! Would cost at least $5k (estimated) to get that stuff swapped or redone... I've concidered it, but it'd break my heart to see this car go... a lot of attachment...

An inherent problem with freshly designed convertibles, sadly. As they come off the assembly line, one is gold and the next is coal. :(

If you've got an emotional attachment to the car, there is little you can do that won't make you feel like crap. If you keep it, you'd hate to keep spending money and doing stuff to it to keep it going in tip-top-shape, but if you sell it your heart is broken. Tough dilemma.

It's like performing euthanasia on a dying relative. :\

I dunno, man. This field engineer might be able to help you out or might be the bearer of good news for all you know. The depreciated value is probably not as low as you think...

I had no idea your car had this much problems. I hope it works out for you, dude. Let us all know how it goes.
