At this point, I don't care which engine is the base V8, as long as it blows the doors off of a Mustang GT and has lots of upgrade options. Of course I would be very happy with an LS3, it wouldn't be hard to get over 500 ponys out of one.

I was told to forget everything I know about engines, so I did.
To me the LS3 is somewhat of a small possibility? but hey its sweet if it is in the Camaro, but I am not setting my mind on getting an LS3.

I agree with the catalog offering a lot more power however, they are mostly designed around the ASA and Hot cams (if I remember correctly) and those aren't emissions friendly. Shoot, a little more lift, like maybe similar to LS7, may push the LS3 to 450...
I think GM would look a little bad if they come with less than Challenger at launch. To most people, the horsepower number is what is important, not weight to power ratio, therefore, I hope they come with at least 430. Shoot, if I can get 450 N/A, I might not even need the most $$$ S/C model... Eh, who am I kidding. Boost or bust!!!

I can't really say that there's much here to point us in one direction or the other. Some of these quotes are loosely tied to engines but show some excitement. I have to agree with Tag. These posts were scattered about and not necesarily related to any of the engine focused threads. It appears they don't really want to touch it as of late. What's it all mean.... ![]() Just a little FYI.
