Thanks for the tips! I know the veterans at this show up and check their pressure but didn't know about raising the fronts. Makes sense though (that or putting on skinnies). The gas thing I never thought about either but that also makes sense. The brave few ECC peeps that I went with to the track gave me some pointers too. Putting it all together will be the fun part.

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere around here you want it under 2.0 so I figured that might be an issue. Gotta work on my launch! I figure with a few more runs I'll be in the ballpark hopefully.

In Orlando I only had the engine revved up on the first run (forgot on the second), and neither run did I launch at third yellow (I tried but I need to work on the timing). It was suggested, due to me being a V6 and having stock tires (which I'd rather not destroy just yet), that I just "dust off" the tires, rather than smoke them, and to avoid the water puddle too. I couldn't manage it on the first go and only chirped them on the second. I think I was just being a wuss and afraid I'd tear up the tires. That and I haven't figured out the right amount of brake force required to hold only the fronts down.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! Oh and I lied sorta about the mods. I didn't have the scoop installed when I did the run but it is now. Don't know if it'll make a big difference but it definitely cleared the airway to the intake.

Don't feel bad. I lived there for 4 1/2 years (94 to 99) and never knew either. I was in high school though so probably wouldn't have been drag racing. Certainly not in my '88 Camry I had at the time. I live in Tallahassee now though.

I was down in Orlando for the 1st Annual Sunshine State Camaro Rally. Did you miss it? I guess if I hear anything about OSW I'll try to remember to let ya know but I probably won't be down there for a while. Definitely will catch ya at Pony Wars though!

Sorry to interrupt, but I was looking for some v6 Camaro owners in the Orlando area to ride out to Orlando Speedworld with. I had my first ever track day this past April 1st. It was an absolute blast.

It wouldnt be a Camaro vs. Mustang thing. I just really appreciate the abilities of the V6 in both cars and want to just competitively push ourselves to be faster. Between the 9/10sec 64-70 camaro/stang/cuda/hemi yadda yadda, there isnt much in the way of modern 300+hp v6's out there. Would love to just go put on a V6 show and have fun. Theoretically, there are more of us (v6's) than there are of anything else.

Let me know via PM. Especially considering the V6 mustang (despite its decent performance) is still considered a secretary/womans car, I KNOW there are some hardcore v6 Camaro guys (or gals) willing to run. Please spread the word if possible.

That sounds like it would be fun. Wish I was in FL. Check out the thread below. It has links to all the FL Camaro clubs. I'm sure some of them would be interested.

Yeah, but I had the build done in FL. No worries, it is all for fun so I'm happy if I improve even if I don't win.

As far as I know. If you have some times to add just post them here and PM BaylorCamaro and he will update the list.

Very nice run! You're our first LFX engine to make the list and in doing so I've updated the stock list with LLT or LFX engine. For some reason I can't do it to our power adders list... Keeps saying my post is too short by one character, yet all I'm doing is editing.
