Oil pump removal

Any tricks to get the oil pump off? I have the pan dropped and the oil pump pick up tube bolt disconnected but it's not budging.. i've tried turning it clock wise and counter clock wise.. Any help is appreciated!

You shouldn't have to apply too much pressure to remove. If you wiggle back and forth (CW/CCW) it should loosen off the pickup tube...I'm not saying to be too forceful with it but no need to be a nance either...

Putting the bit** back on is the real trick...I would HIGHLY recommend (almost a must in my opinion) a pick tube girdle. It allows you to use both tapped bolt holes to make damn sure the seal is good...
