Question for dealers and one for Fbodfather
Dealer question:
I am looking for a step by step for my ummm.. . uneducated dealer on how to look up my order status. Every time I call them all I do is get "There's isn't a vin number for your car yet." -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fbodfather or anyone with the info question. very easy. . . Who do I contact if my dealership closes down about my order? Is there a number that I could keep on file encase this situation arises?

Your order status is right in workbench when he pulls up your order. There is your workbench # and then right beside it, 3800 or whatever status you are at. Mine lets me look at the screen when he was on workbench, and thats what I saw.

Can a dealer access workbench anytime or is it only thursday-Sat.?

I also have a print out of my workbench from a couple months ago. I assume status 1100 should be on there some where. . . Cant seem to find it.

They can access it any time, but I think it only gets updated monday through friday
|

thanks for the info. . . my dealer actually called today to let me know they have their V6 in the showroom and that my car "doesn't have a vin yet, but is being produced". Not sure where that is in the order status.

ONLY IF the dealer is closed -- call the Chevy Customer Assistance Center -- 800-222-1020 -- and establish a case number.
DO NOT call there for updates on your status -- we'll send you back to your dealer. |
