Question Need feedback on a new product: Jackpoint Jack stands

Hey guys, so I recently found these thanks to another forum member, specifically a prospective ZL1 owner who was concerned about jack points on his future ZL1 since the ZL1 does in fact have a belly pan that prevents jacking from one of the two cross-members.

So here's what I'm talking about, JackPoint Jackstands. Please take the time to view the video below as well as leave feedback as to whether or not you'd actually purchase them. Thank you.

I really like that

Very pricey. I wonder where the jack locations would be, using that system?

They don't appear to be adjustable, so if they are to short then what?

Yea, I noticed that too. I think this system is solely for the purpose of changing tires. I guess they assume that for any other work you're going to use ramps.

Also, on their website they do have two versions available, universal and low profile.

For us they would be the ones you find in the owner's manual, or the pinch welds. In another video they show you how to change the head so that it'll fit onto the pinch weld channel. I'll post that video in a bit, I'm on my phone now.

It's been almost 2 years since I read the owners manual. But since the SS doesn't come with a jack, or spare, I may have skimmed that part,

I'll upload a pic so you can see what I'm talking about.

LOL, I got this from your post in a thread that's about 2 years old.

Someone elses picture but I remember posting and giving credit. I was focused on the floor jack and jackstand location.

And this is how it would work for us:

So after doing a little research, it seems as though members of several different forums have jumped on board, most notably the Porsche crowd. I'm sold.

It is very cool, but at $300 for a pair, it might be a tough sell. I change out my wheels/tires twice a year and would have a hard time coughing up the money for convenience... That said I've never seen anything like it and the idea of having that setup is really appealing.

Agreed, they are pricey. However, this is just the beginning. They've only been on the market for about a year. In that time, however, they've circulated every major car forum at one point or another and people have been buying in. In about another year's time, I bet the price will drop.

And yes, this is a genius design!
