AWD does add one other pro: If you apply power while in an understeer condition, the tires which are failing in lateral traction will at least pull in the direction that they're aimed. Of course, if you could have avoided the understeer by having better weight distribution in the first place...

If it could be done with the following stipulations:

1. less than 400lbs added
2. Manual trans
3. V8

+1. For those of you who want AWD please stay away from American Muscle. I suppose we will want a twin turbo V6 SS to go with that in a couple years.

Seriously tho, you guys talk of racing on a track. Pfft. Let's be realistic. It'll be a daily driver, and from the locations I was seeing under your names, you don't contend with heavy rain very often. Well, I live in southern Mississippi. All the southeast gets hammered with rain every year. An optional AWD isn't going to hurt YOU.
