Thats really unfortunate. The man was an artist, I will give him that. I generally didn't like his style, but thats me. He did what he did very well and I can respect that.

That just sucks...not a huge fan of his work, actually more the canvases that he choose to work on, but still a loss to the industry.

May God be with his family, friends, and employees in their time of loss.

Oh noooo....how sad is that. I'm still sitting here after a couple minutes and am shocked.....still.

This is really sad. That guy was great w/ his work...an artist at that. Man...and I watched his shows all the time.

My sincerest sympathy to his family. May he rest in peace. Wow...sad to see him go. God bless, Boyd.:( :( :(

It is a shame! He made some great cars! Too bad the program made him look alike an idiot IMO. And the shop foreman, he was the one who caused all the problems. Maybe it was just the way the program was edited. I hope people think of Boyd for the vehicles he designed and not the TV program.

Rest in peace Boyd, you will be sorely missed. One of my favorite hot rods was Cadzzilla.

R.I.P. Boyd. A sad, sad day in custom hotrodding :(

Never really got into the show...the tension between the whole staff/crew was just too much for me, but Boyd had some awesome creations for sure!

Boyd had an annual car/bike show that he used to run from his shop in CA.

My dad had two of his custom harleys in it one year and we got to briefly meet him. We got to tour his facility and see his car collection as part of the show.

The custom car world lost a legend.

Best wishes to his friends and family.

Yeah it is, I can't even fathom the custom hot rod industry now. He was a pioneer and his work was good, didnt really care for his ethics but he was good at what he did.
