Yeah all HT's who's coming to the paradise car show lets meet up in the morning somewhere in Oxnard so we can roll in together! I believe the show starts around 8 or 9...we can meet at the gas station right off Thompson dr. Exit! What time?

Guys,

Thought I would let you know. Joey Granatelli was in an accident in Vegas last night. I understand that while unloading a car the ramp failed and he was injured. Don't have any details on the injuries but they are serious. Please include him and his family in your prayers.

Kratz’s friends, Lyle Larson and Joey Granatelli of Granatelli Motor Sports, were going to run their V10 1,000-hp Dodge Challenger at the event. While unloading their racecar, Granatelli was pinned under the hydraulic lift rack with the car still on it. The cord for the rack controller had been caught in the lift mechanism and had been severed meaning the car could not move.

After trying to lift the car with several bystanders with no success, Kratz called for the jack to be brought from their pit about 200 feet away. Rogeo, who had already called 9-1-1, brought the 50-lb. jack, and Kratz and a couple of bystanders put all their weight into it to get the car off Granatelli. Rogeo then brought three jack stands which were put under the rack to make sure it couldn’t fall.

After being under the car for perhaps five minutes, Granatelli coughed and gasped, “as beautiful a sound as either Alex or I have heard,” Kratz says. Paramedics arrived and Granatelli was taken to the hospital. Kratz tells us this morning that Joey is on life-support at UMC in Las Vegas with head and chest injuries. Please pray for Joey Granatelli and his family.

Got word from Jassper at GMS. Here is what he had to say on the GMS FB page

Recently, it was announced that Joey Granatelli was injured at an event in Las Vegas. The injury occurred while trying to unload a vehicle from a trailer. While he was in critical condition, we are happy to announce that Joey Granatelli will be fine and back to work in no time. We want to thank everyone for their prayers, kind words, and support. - Jassper
