We saw the same problem on our two cars, until we drained and re-filled with "known" 93 oct gas. This car will do better next week!

Seriously? It's an auto. My sheer presence made my car faster. Lol. He pulled a 1.8 sixty foot. Op stated the driver isn't an amateur. You tell me. The trap speed says it all. It's simply a turd or the driver didn't run it hard for the sole purpose of doing a couple small things that would show a big difference, in a ploy to help his business.

Maybe an entirely different name should have been thought up for the 2012 ZL1.
Blitzkrieg Special. Lol
This is true...but if you wanna talk that route, where the hell is the Z28? IIRC the Z28 didnt have the performace of the SS back in 67-70...so with that ideology shouldnt the line of pregression gone V6 (LT), Z28 (now called the SS), then make some kind of SS with maybe a 427 (LS7) and then the ZL1....

Basically its just a whole different generation of codes....SS today doesnt mean what it used to...

and I do agree that they should have come up with a different name for the ZL1 just to keep the lineage....

Isn`t the auto supose to be faster???

Lets see when the pre production put down less than stellar 1/4 mile runs it was cold weather, track conditions, tires, solar system not at optimal alignment..

Now production car with normal weather ,respected tuner and less than stellar times...

But wait now the excuses.............this is not a drag car..., not broken in yet, looks better than the chally or mustang, not fair to compare modded SS to stock ZL1, the GT500 put a slower time in at my local track, etc...

Ford mustang gt gang will have a ball with this one not the GT500

holy shit!!! did you guys watch that dyno video!!! look at the power curve where it drops off pretty hard after 4500rpm....something is wrong there as has been stated earlier....I'm no tuner, but a torque curve doesnt drop 50-75 ftlbs in 200 rpms....especially after seeing the Lingenfelter dyno sheet....

Guys... look at the dyno chart from Lingenfelter vs. Hennessey. This car was not running to full potential.

The original ZL1 in 1969 was an RPO for an engine, which was used in Can Am racing that was available in the Corvette and that was included with the 9560 COPO Camaro package.

The original ZL1 was not a vehicle trim level designation as the ZL1 is today. In 1969 when one referred to a ZL1, one was referring to an engine and not a vehicle model that was named a ZL1. However, in 1969 the Z28, of course, was a vehicle trim level name.

Hard to argue but again, do you think a stock SS is a mid 12s car? Because one supposedly did.

My point is there are varying circumstances. I'll reserve judgement till I get more chances to see.

Also, yes, we can't forget the factor that the less the numbers THIS car has, the better the final Hennessey numbers will look as far as gains.
