I spoke with the Sales Manager and explained my concerns about the cut-off of orders after 3/27/12 and the dealer needing to have allocation in order to place any new orders. He assured me that he would be able to fulfill this order and that the dealership was moving enough inventory to be able to make this order a reality. I hope this will be the case. I know that the cut-off date for orders was never discussed prior to my placing it with the dealer. I would normally feel more comfortable about this issue but, in light of this information about the deadline for orders and allocation, I am a little concerned. Do you have any advice, Thanks so much.

You'll just want to keep an eye on the order to make
sure it does move soon. There will be orders that cycle
tomorrow night, so hopefully Wed am your status changes.
Just stay on top of it and keep in touch with your dealer.

It's the as of 4/10 part that has me crazy, because all my status jumping happened on 4/12 and 4/13, gmconnects still shows me only at a 3300, and I WAS at 3400. I have to stop looking or I'll be in a rubber room long before the new car shows up

Sorry Becky, I need to be a bit more zen about this whole thing. It's not like my constant checking and worrying is going to get it here any faster. It will show up when GM gets darn good an ready to send it. There is nothing I can do that is going to speed up that process.

Thank you for putting up with all of us crazy loons. You deserve a medal for your patience or at least a box of good chocolates. I know I would have snapped and told us all where to go a long time ago.

That's pretty funny. I was just counseling a customer of mine a couple of weeks ago about how when the car gets to the railyard and is unloaded that it can sit there for a few days before it's shipped and don't make any flight arrangements (he was coming from Florida) until we know for
sure and yada yada yada...........all the while knowing my car was sitting in Detroit - still on the railcar and hoping that I could have it for the weekend and it was only Wednesday!! So trust me I know how anxious we can be, even me who knows better Keep surfing C5, line up your mods, make new friends and stop worrying....

Stop back and I'll check for the VIN tomorrow...
and the next day, .....until you get built!

I did the same thing, sold mine early, had to drive the fiancees car for a few weeks.

Juztin, start a list, and subscribe to all the threads that have the mods you want to do, start planning them out, it helps. If you have a garage, start cleaning it out, getting it ready, think about where you are gonna go when you get it.

Buy new detailing gear so when it comes in you can clean it. Keep tracking it, when its on the rail, I called every 30 mins lol. Hang out on here and talk to people, it can help time go by.

When it gets there, its unbelieveable.

rd67 - We are in the same boat. I finally got approved for a buy-back on 3/30 and ordered the car that day knowing that the 23rd was supposed to be the last day. It sounds like your sales manager is being more honest with you than mine is. I hope both of our orders start moving very soon.

Becky - When should I give up all hope for getting one out of the last 2012 build? My totally uninformed guess is the end of next week.

Hey Becky, good words of advice. Mine is still sitting in Toronto waiting to get on a train for 4 days...

Speaking of mods. I ordered LED sequential tail lights from Technostalgia. Now I'm realizing that they might cause problems for my warrantee. I guess GM would have to prove that they were a problem.

So Becky, do you have any non legally binding advice to give whether to install them or not? Should I talk to my dealer to see how they would handle it? I really want to install them, but I don't want my radio to go bad and have GM blame my tail lights.
