I'd get away from that dealer completely.

Honestly if I lived anywhere in the NE US I'd be buying from Becky from these forums.
Tomorrow I'm going to call up and ask for the order # to follow up on the order. I'm not in a big rush to get into the car, just that I'm frustrated that things weren't dealt on the verbal terms that we agreed on.

If I find out tomorrow that the order hasn't been placed, I'll change dealerships even if it means losing the deposit.

I just called in and got my order number. I entered my number in GM's website and received this following message:

04/17/2012 - Vehicle has been entered into the system and will be updated the following business day in most cases.

Is this normal? They told me that they placed the order the day after I left the deposit, so 7 days ago.

If you have an order number try asking Becky:

...she would be the authority on that.

I got my CRT 2LT/Silver stripes/Sunroof/Manual for 30,210. MSRP 31,390. I was ready to pay sticker since I ordered it specifically, not like I was going to walk but salesman said "That is how they roll" hehe

I'm sorry guys, but I've gotten impatient. It's been over 3 weeks since I've placed the order, the car is still at 1100 status. Dealer has no answers. Went out today and purchased a 2011 535xi BMW instead. Cost me a good bit more than a Camaro at $57k, but I'm really enjoying it.

Canceling my Camaro order tomorrow.

My girl loves it too

$57k! Wow! Could have a ZL1 for that, but the 535 is a really nice car, a lot different than the Camaro, but still a really nice car.

Yea, I guess I never gave the camaro much of a chance since I was going for the LT, not the SS. So at that point the only thing the camaro had going for itself was the exterior look and the 330 hp.

But damn, when I test drove the bmw, at 300 hp and Sport Manual, I swear I was picking up speed much quicker than the Camaro. The exterior of the bmw is obviously brilliant, and the interior (technology) is unmatchable.

At the end of it all, I should have test drove the SS some more or even the ZL1 for a fairer match up.
