good luck finding a 2005 Z06 since they don't exist. should beat the ZL-1 but think it will struggle remains TBD. they need significant increase over last get chasis.

I think the GT500 could beat a 2006-09 Z06 or a ford gt on the tire of the time wich the stock brakes. either of these cars with slight tweaks will be faster though. If I added brakes and coilovers to my z06 it would most likely driven correctly be faster than either car. in stock trim though with older gen tires and brake package sold with the car it might be aobut the same.

Either of these cars with a simple brake upgrade and tire swap will most likely hand the 2013 GT500 or a ZL-1 its behind. they are lighter and a better chasis design.

People are fooling themselves if they think a ZL-1 or 2013 is superior to a Ford GT. the car would take a couple of tweaks maybe but it is a superior platform. lighter better areo.

Good catch. There was no 2005 Z06.

SVT says the new GT500 is faster then the Ford GT on a roadcourse so it must be true just like Al O said the ZL1 will ........ ah never mind.

I would take a Ford GT over any of them, I could care less if it's not as fast. Being a little faster isn't everthing or in some cases not much of anything. You're way too hung up on this.

Why are you spending so much time in a Camaro Forum? Are you here to recruit for Ford? If I could I'd love to have a GT500, but only after I buy my Camaro!

I just had a mental image of a guy in his brand new 2012 ZL1 sitting at a light and a 2013 GT500 pulls up. The GT500 revs and asked "You wanna go?". The ZL1 driver says "Sorry, the 2013 GT500 isn't the competition for my car, only the 2012 GT500." LOL
