I too, have had some experience with PLC's and Freq. drives, can't say I'm the best at it, but I can hold my own! I really don't do alot of conduit anymore, kinda moved past that knuckle draggin' stuff..ha,ha.I worked construction for years(Industrial, commercial and residential) and have had the privelage to see and to work with just about evreything in the Electrical world, including elevators! Would I be safe to assume you work for Otis? I work at a Nuke plant here in Michigan(the one that isn't shut down),and I see the Otis guys here every now and again. Now I've done some pretty complex pipe racks/networks in my time so I wouldn't say it's all easy stuff! There is some skill involved, especially when you start running rigid conduit! I'm also a certified(3G-UP) welder, that's where I had my concern with the grade of steel? like I said in another earlier post, I'm really not too sure, the the grade of steel the OBX's are? I was just questioning yhe cost and the reason to go with a thicker gauge! I guess my experience with cheaper Chinese pipe from the past caused me to question! I 'm not trying to put anyone down with their choice of headers. At least that wasn't what I was trying to put out there.I guess I just got caught up with the comment about being a fool to purchase Kooks instead of the OBX's!Anyway I'm rambling here, I don't think anything bad about anyone buying the OBX's, I'm sure they are good headers, just not for me! Nice color by the way, that was actually the color and stripes I almost got, but I got my second color choice for alot less, couldn't pass it up! Later.
It's all good man. Im just having fun. No different than when I'm out with my buddy's and we all talk crap on each other, it's just fun. I work for ThyssenKrupp which ironically is also one of largest steel company's in the world. It's between us and Otis for largest in the world, it's goes back and forth depending on whatever independent one or the other just acquired.

I don't think anyone is dumb for buying kooks, in fact I say that's great. It's just wasn't for me. I got a smokin deal on the OBX that I just couldn't pass up. In fact I was ready to buy the stainless power from Maryland speed when I came across the OBX deal. Btw, even though Maryland speed and I disagree in the OBX stuff I still fully support his business. I have been buying stuff from him since I had my LS1 GTO and I will continue to.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, if my OBX ever fail I will be the first one to come on this forum and tell the world. Then I'll humbly call Maryland speed and order a set of kooks.

You live in California. Try that in Seattle or Maryland. I am not sure the argument about stainless is relevent. If Chinese Stainless was good enough for most mainstream manufacturers, then you would see some of the big exhaust companies using it. Most i talked to won't use it because they cannot make the complex bends they need without it tearing.

Let's be real here though. They are welded bent pipe...that is a copy of a proven design. You have to comepletly fail to mess it up. So even though anyone with half an ounce of objectivity can look at them, look at say Kooks, and see a big difference in quality, the odds of them like failing is likely pretty small. Just like fake oakley's keep the sun out, or you can play twinkle, twinkle little star on your knock off Les Paul.

Here is my point in all this. Some people have no issue buying fake or knock off stuff...I get that. However there are plenty of people who spend good money on the real thing. They see value in a product that is well designed, engineered, and assembled, and comes with quality support, so they will pay for it. So when you come here like "Omgz...I bought these headers and they look awesome, and I saved big $$$$$!"..everyone who bought the real thing is going to have an opinion. I can't think of anywhere, or any market segment where you could buy a blatent knock off of a product, publically brag about it, and get 100% positive response. At the end of the day, sure they are best in terms of price..and they likely will not fall off your car or some crap. But the also are based ofof a stolen design, and the set I had were personally the worst looking set of stainless headers I have ever seen.

Maryland Speed, If you noticed the title is wasn't asking anyones opinion on the headers. Its just dicks like you who have to post up here insulting someones choice that there pleased with. I think your worried someone will read this and want OBX over your KOOks therefore you must bash them. I like how you sell the Stainless Power headers, yes a Stainless Works brand but made in good ol' China. Get some

i've seen a few threads of people buying obx, and a month or so later, they already see rust. that was enough for me to look elsewhere. good luck to all you that went with obx.

edit: here's one example...one too many, imo.

I am not happy about the rusting. Knowing what I do now I would have saved more and gone a different route.

Nice! My 04 was a great car. I always wanted a 06 LS2 black with red interior.
This was mine.

This will be my last post responding to you since obviously you lack basic comprehension skills and want to call people names. Stainless Power is Stainlessworks OWN header design made under contract by them overseas. If a company I sell parts for wants to offer a Chinese version of their product, and support it with their warranty, and support, then yes I will sell it. I may not recommend it if a customer asks, but if you are on a budget, and it is what you can afford..whatever.

What SW is doing is very different than another company ripping off someones design and selling cheap copies, which I have an issue with. Actually, if you are SW, it is the only way you can combat other companies ripping your stuff off.

My only other issue is when people want to go on about how great, and high quality they are, when in reality they never even saw, or compared them to set of real high quality headers. If a big Vizio TV showed up in the mail one day, and you had never seen another big screen TV, it would be the greatest thing ever. However if you go in Best Buy and compare a Vizio to a higher end Sony or Samsung, there is no contest. Unfortunatly, there are very few places where you can compare different sets of headers side by side, which is why I took pictures.
