My car was finished up nearly two weeks ago and it's still sitting in Canada. Are the SS models being held up there to have the battery cables replaced?

My vin is 6890

I think i'm absolutely going to burst if my car doesnt come soon and my dealer cannot tell me why it hasn't been put on a rail car.

Does anyone know if you can pick up your camaro from the plant or do you have to wait for it to be shipped to the dealer. I don't see why if you have done the paper work they won't let you go get it.

Import tariff's, customs and taxes preclude you from doing it.

It makes it harder on everyone just knowing that is sitting.
I guess it's a waiting game!

Just a quick question. Do most of the guys making the camaro really get it when it comes to this car. For many of us including myself it was my high school/college car and has a special relationship for me with my dad who is no longer with us. Im close to 40 years old and can honestly say when i pick up my new camaro i will prob have tears in my eyes its that special to me.

I'm there with you... first car I ever rode in was a blue first-gen Camaro, my Mom's and I was a new born. Here I am 40 years later, and my Mom is gonna get the first ride in my blue fifth-gen.

To your question - I'm not the OP but let me say from my own experience that yes, they get it. I know for a *fact* that the great people building our cars get it... they enjoy it... they love it... and some of them have also bought the car and are waiting just like us (imagine having a hand in building your own car!) to get it. A couple of these individuals on the line, who I won't name, did things for me that can only be described as "above and beyond" - so much so that they alone have changed my perspective on what a car buying experience can/could/should be.

Do they get it? H*ll yes... big time.

Yes we get it !! Most of us decided to make the move from Impala to Camaro and take the one year layoff in order to be a part of this great car. All of us know the importance and history you have for this car . Oshawa is proud to be your Camaro builder. Super60

Right there with ya man.
I think I'm gonna end up hugging the sales guy when I pick mine up.
I've got a lot of history, and fond fond memories with the old '71.
Still can't believe it's finally here... and I'm getting one!
