Do you stare at the techs while they work on your car?
I don't think I blink.

I did this for a little bit while I was getting my windows tinted and after a couple of minutes I guess they got confused, stopped what they were doing and looked at me saying "do you need something from your car?"
BTW the tint came out Flawless!

It depends where I go I guess. Most shops won't allow customers out on the shop floor (for insurance reasons). If it's the type of shop that has a door on each work bay, although I don't stand and stare, I do walk by occasionally.
I try to put myself in the tech's shoes, would I want someone standing there watching me? I don't know about you, but it would make me nervous. I might be more apt to make a mistake. It's all about how well you trust the people working on your car. However, before I take delivery of the vehicle, I do a walk around looking for any damage. |

The shop I use doesn't allow us out on the floor, but it does have viewing windows. So this is me while they're working on my baby:

if i have to go to oil change or maintenance, the stupid mechanics cant even blink without recognized from me. they sometimes have to ask me because they dont know ho to this. sometimes i do it then on my one, as happened on last oil change. new mechanics wanted to loosen first the filter and then release the oil. Then he put out a hammer to make filter loose... after i saw this he got a shout, i kicked him away from my car and did it on my own( and get a reduction as well as a apology from customer service).
this then nobody touches my car without me. |

I stare from the window, and if I cant see my car from the window I walk outside and pretend I'm on the phone and stare right at them while talking to my imaginary friend.

I personally don't but I think chiks would if the mechanic is a handsome guy. If they put a chik in bikini changing my oil, I wouldn't mind starring.

If my car ever went to the shop yea. They would feel the burn from me watching them but I have always done that not just with this car. I learned at a young age trust no one when it comes to your property not even family.

My dealer picks my cars up at my shop. So I don't see anything that happens. Just the fact that they know whose cars they're working on gives me piece of mind that it will be done right and without problems. I never had an issues with them with any of my cars.
