I take pictures and film them. I learned after the tint shop cut my glass. I'm going to be up anyone's ass who touches my car.

Its a car....dont take to a dealer if you dont want anyone touching it. Do the oil change yourself, much easier and cheaper. Takes 20 mins max. Just pour the oil down the drain with a bit of dawn and your done.

No, because I only go to shops where I trust people.

Perfect timing on this. Just got back from the dealer where they changed my tranny fluid. The techs there are very capable. The dealer lets me bring in my own fluid and just charges labor. Now there is a record the work was done by them and in this case Redline D4 ATF was dumped into my M6. They even brought over a cup of the old fluid to show me there were no issues. To answer your question, no, I spend the time talking to Shelby, the smokin' hot service write-up girl. Oh, and for $48, I'll let them do this every time.

I've done this every car I've ever owned. I try not to, but I can't resist. It's not just about mechanics working on my camaro though...if I can see it, I have to stare at it. I can't help myself.

I got new rims and tires on my 2011 Silverado. I peaked in to see how they looked and the asshat was dragging the airhose (They hung from the roof at this place) down the side of my black and slightly dirty paint.

I lost it.

I HAVE asked if I can watch so I can learn about the car. Then I try to chat up the mechanic or tech. They can tell how much I care about my car and usually it ends up that I teach them something about my car or camaros in general. . Only time I haven't been able to watch is when they did repairs (3 times) for the AC fail. I'd love to do the work myself but I don't have the tools or skills. Lately my mechanic boyfriend and i have been doing this. I hand him the tools and hold the flashlight, have put the lube on the shifter we installed, and some "no skill" duties.

You don't even need a jack! Just drive it up on a sidewalk curb right over a storm drain! LOL!
