I saw two Camaros at an dealer unveiling yesterday in Ft. Walton Beach, FL ( both 2SS) and the Brembos were clean, no weights! Sorry didn't get the VIN to excited, forgot.

Very encouraging, Ranger. Lets hope we're past the "thrifty" fix. I can hear the conversation now:

"What are them things on your calipers, Billy Bob?"
"Them are wheel weights."
"M R not."
"M R too."
"What are they fer?"
"Don't you know nuthin', Bobby Ray? Speed a course."

Frugal is only acceptible to a point!

Here is my summary on the lead.

These are lead with adhesive that is designed to go on the inside of Alum wheels.

It's not even designed to be put onto a heat bearing object. Like say ... a high performance front brake caliper.

This is not engineering. Meet me at the track at SwRI and if the division chief of vehicle testing says it's a good idea to put your wheel weights on a production car that a SOLDIER ORDERED SIGHT UNSEEN and you don't want to even BOTHER to tell the gentleman about it or offer a future replacment (ref to the first SS with the lead...).

When you can do that then i'll buy or endorse the Brembo option. Right now
AC Delco or whatever the base is Owns the "Epic Fail" wheel weight right.

Look closer at the Brembo!!!

The weights are on the brembos - now black not silver -saw mine today!! - If there not there not good - potential noise/vibration - no fix as of now!! Hopefully soon!!!

If that was the case, then by now we'd have reports of the weights falling off (and adhesive burning).

Is this for real?

WOW, this is piss poor and I just can't believe someone from GM would say it was an "engineering" fix. I mean just WOW.
