curious on your car care

well i'm a little curious to what you fellow z owners use for your car care products.
For instance what soap do you like the best.
How you plan to keep the carbon and painted hood inserts
What wax
tire shine with these huge beast sticking out

Just curious

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19526 has a ton of info, I'll be curious to hear about what people are using on their CF. I've seen some stuff mentioned in other threads, but not a lot of detail.

I've found that one of THESE:

...with a bit of Simple green works best for Camaro wheels - it's a toilet swab that I buy at ACE hardware stores -- the 'brush' part is actually a yarn material -- all fuzzy - but allows you to get betwn spokes - behind spokes into the inner wheel - and, in short - makes cleaning your wheels a breeze compared to any other thing I've tried. (short of a high-pressure wash...)

I'm partial to Zaino (Sal is a friend) - but Adams, Meguiars, and Mothers all make great products.

Bro Zeke had spent some time at Milford and also sitting around -- lots of bird droppings (......I think someone at Ford was behind that....) --

Some Zaino with an orbital buffer took out all the surface dirt and grime - and he looks spectacular (if I must say so myself...)

I am in the process of trying a product called Rejx which is used on boats and helicopters,,,,it is a polymer that was recommended to me today by a very nice older gentlemen with an RS in the Costco parking lot. Sounds funny but his car was beautiful. Works great as a protectant as well Florida bugs just wash right off. Will update you.

I use the Griots stuff. They have a good system and are a smaller company and offer good support and instructions about their products

I started to use Chemical Guys products. Black Wax & Jet Seal for the paint. For the price compared to others, it seems to work just fine.

Love chemical guys. Their V series polishes are great.

Look up the Cosmetic Care section of the board for ideas. Its a good question to ask, however.

I use Mother's California Gold car wash, Griot's Clay (when its time to polish), Griot's and Chemical Guys Micro Fibre towels, and I use Zymol pure carnauba wax after I polish prep the car.

Edit: It is a good idea to check out other detailing boards, and try a few products for yourself to see the type of results that you can get.

I have been using Zaino Bros products. Recently I switched it up and bought a foam cannon and used Chemical Guys Mr Pink wash. Then used Chemical Guys Hybrid V7 detailer. I was really impressed with the shine these products gave. Also used their wheel cleaner with a long brush to get between the spokes. I have the 5 spoke wheels so it is a lot easier than the 10 spoke would be.
