Clutch will stink for about 1500 miles, mine did. And Chevy suggests no more than 4000 rpms untill 1500 miles.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Seriously, search the forums for how to properly adjust your side mirrors. It does truly work. This car has some real bad blind spots, so be careful.

You're gonna go to sleep with a huge grin on your face!

Congrats,

Jim

Alright, cool. I'll try not to exceed 4000. Thanks!

It is a car that's begging to be driven don't let it just sit around and collect dust like most people do. You bought it for a reason so use it. I made the mistake of letting it sit, now although its not my daily driver I take it out a lot and I enjoy every minute of it.
I know what you mean man, this car will actually be my daily car. I'll try to be careful, and take what you said into consideration. Thank you!

My Camaro is an automatic btw, and thank you to everyone else who I didn't manage to reply to, I really do appreciate it.

Tip 1- try not to smile to much, these cars are too fun. Tip 2 - Enjoy your car Tip 3- dont forget to make a payment.

Enjoy and Welcome to the Club!!!

Vary your speed, don't exceed 4K rpm, manuals should see some good downshifting early on and spirited take offs to seat the rings.

Be prepared to change out all your oils somewhere between 1000-1500 to get rid of all the manufacturing and break-in junk.

After that, let'er rip and drive it like you stole it.

You will be inflicted with the dreaded disease called "Permagrin". As long as you own your Camaro, there is no cure and the only treatment is to drive it!

Enjoy and welcome to the club.

Does this apply to the automatic as well? I believe the OP was an automatic - as is the one I ordered today.

You might think about getting fender flairs to reduce the chance of stone chips.

I don't think it was the clutch that stunk. It was the coating on the exhaust.

I'm sold on clear bra. Brought mine home in Nov 09 and have zero stone chips. Just finished washing it and it looks brand new.

Paint protection film ("clear bra") on the front bumper and gill area (the ripples in front of the rear tires) will greatly reduce the number of rock chips. It's best to do it when the car is brand new and has no rock chips yet.
