Ahh... but you're wrong. I have had several opportunities to buy existing Camaros at MSRP and even at Supplier Pricing. However, most of the 2LTs that are out there are Rally Yellow and SIM. I'm just looking for the right car. I'm flexible on some of the options, so it shouldn't be that difficult. And if you've seen the production numbers, there will be plenty of lot cars available over the next few weeks.

So it's very possible to get a car and a deal right now. Just need to find the right one. Besides, I'm patient. If the right car doesn't come along right away, I'll just wait until it does.

What's the BEST way to find the Camaro you're looking for?

The best way is to look at a bunch of them on the lot and drive as many as you can- in other words make sure you know what you want from experience...

Go to Autotrader.com Two weeks ago I found 13 2LT/RS in SIM which is what I wanted. I called all 13. Half wanted 1K to 5K over list and the other half would sell at MSRP but wanted to hold on to the car for 1 to 2 weeks. I found one dealer that would sell for MSRP and deliver ASAP. I gave him a credit card deposit over the phone. Got up at 4:00am the next day, drove 240 miles and was headed home by 10:00 am the next day with my new Camaro.

My son filled out a survey on either autotrader or cars.com that asked him what he was looking for. Within an hour he got a call from several dealers, and one had a 2SS R6P car enroute that a customer had just cancelled the night before. That was Saturday, today is Wednesday and the transport has called to make an appointment to drop the car today. Wasn't the color I wanted, but it is a 2SS @ sticker immediately available. I have already hooked up someone to buy it; I'm just sighting that as an example. Work the phones, leave your number with seven or eight different dealerships, and don't put down a deposit until you VERIFY what they're saying as far as options and ETA.

www.cars.com

do the "new car" search, you'll find local dealers with cars, and if you want, you can just search to find a bunch of unique dealer photos.

make sure you search under "new" vehicles, and I sorted under 40k, so that should sort out most of the gougers off the 2ss.
