If you want the DRL/Fog Lights to be HID then you will need 2 ballast and bulbs. They will need to be epoxied in as they are not made to fit the normal bulb fittings. Also you lenses housing needs to be modified as it will melt the socket area because of the heat the HID put off.

Yeah, hids in the fogligts are definitely a no-no. I've even used the lower 25 wat verisions and it still started melting the housing. LED only on the fogs.

If you really want HID in your DRL, switch out the whole assembly for a Non-RS foglights. The front covers are made of glass. The RS DRL front covers are made of plastic. I've had HID in mine for ove a year and the front hasn't melted. Now, the back part is another issue. I can see bubbling and some haze on the reflectors, but not that bad. Also go for a lower wattage HID kit. Mayde 35 watt slim ballast? Dude, you have a lot of searching to do.

Your car is equipped with HID's. Replacing the bulbs in your headlights for 12k bulbs is pointless. It's lower light output. 12k on the spectrum is like UV light. If you want color and function go 6k (White with a little purple). Or maybe 8k (Blue). And LED would be the safer and easier choice for your DRL btw.
