Thats a lot of money right there.

Who knew that if you took my entire neighborhood and compressed it.. it'd fit in a parking space.

Chip, I've been to nissan several times in the past and test drove a 350Z twice (but never a 370.) I also tested the G37 about 2 years ago which iirc uses the same engine.

those engines peak HP are rated at like 9000 rpm! the torque is close to HALF the horsepower!

That guy had ZERO idea what he was talking about.

that being said.. I wouldn't race a 370Z. I'd lose. :(

Yesterday afternoon I had trouble getting around a newish trailblazer LT.

When I was driving my truck to the dealership I was surprised at how easy it is to take off.. driving the camaro on the low end is like driving through sand.

Haha true enough, most people who show up on lots don't know much about cars, and you can't really blame them.

How'd you like the Z??? I test drove a 370Z and didn't like the transmission with the "syncrorev" thing. It revs for you when you down shift. Is that even a manual anymore???

And agreed, the torque on those things is puny.

I really think you might want to get your camaro checked. I can't advise much cause I drive an LS3 with a little more power, but I really think there might be something wrong.

This summer if you haven't been dyno'd yet, I'll go with you to Vengeance or HPS or somewhere to get Dyno'd after I do a few of my mods.

well its funny because the car breaks the speed limit in a hurry, yet when it comes down to me having to put this supposed muscle to use I mash it down and "away we go".... but the guy's still there beside me or just slightly behind me a car or 2.

I mean if a trailblazer is going 35mph in a 55mph zone and I want to go.. faster than that.. I change lanes then floor it, by all measures I should blow his doors off.

Yet in the distance of about 2 gas stations (a sure fire scientific measure of distance.. ) I was only able to clear him by 1 car.

Similarly, I had 1/2 a mile about a week or so ago, to clear a nissan altima that pulled out as I u-turned, landing me ON her rear bumper. Again, I got over, stomped it, and had to hold it darn near 75mph just to clear her by 2 cars. This was of course.. only because I needed her lane and wasn't fond of almost taking her bumper off since we both went at the same time.

I want chris's turbo kit, he wants my car with the turbo kit since he hasn't done an L99 with that kit yet.. but I gotta sell this motor to replenish my savings base before I can start putting money toward funding anything other than maintenance.

I don't believe in credit cards, so I have to keep a "safety" in savings, and I'm below where I want to be at the moment, so that means no fun for a while.

I wasn't at all impressed with the Z tbh. It felt slow, had VERY poor visibility.. and just.. felt like a cheap japanese car. I get that feeling more with toyota than nissan, but I still got it with nissan in that case.

The infini (same thing..) has a much more refined fit and finish and both are fun comfortable cars (Z has a slightly shorter wheelbase as it is my understanding, so maybe a little lighter? but the G37S felt like it had more grunt? hrmm..) but its just not my bag. I like that feeling of torque, horsepower is fun n all but unless I want to get a ticket for doing twice the speed limit a lot of good it does me.

I mean if I HAD to get a 370Z I woudln't complain too loudly, but it's obviously not my frist choice in a coupe.

I hear ya. I'd be interested to see how his kit goes on an L99 as well. And hopefully your camaro will gain a little power from break in.

Well you can actually get vented fenders. garcmol has them on his camaro if I'm not mistaken. They look pretty good too!

And I'm working on a good one. I don't have a picture far away enough for a perfect sig pic, but I added one for now. Darn forum signature restrictions!!!
