Zl1 sales out of country

I noticed on these eBay listings they all say in will not sell to exporter or out of country? Is there a reason for that? Won't people exporting pay a higher premium?

Dealers are specifically forbidden to sell new cars and trucks outside of the U.S.

....for many reasons.

The US Commerce Department regulates the export of all commercial (non-military) end items. Hmmm??? What if I purchased it and gifted it to my friend in Germany for $60K.

A private individual can export the car. The dealer gets in trouble only if they fail to register the car they sell to a US address and collect all taxes.

For most countries the exotic vehicle market is huge. I wouldn't be surprised if they were charging triple the cost to build the car.

You also have to remember that most countries require that the incoming vehicles meet or exceed the safety standards of their laws. So that's another add cost to modify.
