my remote: Out of an old 'parts bin?'

It appears that the remote that came with my Camaro is incorrect. It DOES control the functions with each button press, but the picture on my remote is that of a 1992 Pontiac Lemans. It should be a Camaro... not one of the contenders for worst car ever, or most inappropriately named car ever.

One step ahead of you... I did that. But driving this LeMans around is nowhere near as fun as driving my Camaro around. How I will miss that car.

Am I missing something here? I don't understand any of this.

First of all, the remote has a "picture" of a '92 Lemans on it? Remotes don't have pictures on them to begin with. If anything, it may have a Pontiac emblem on it.

It's posible I suppose that a remote designed for a Pontiac could be reprogramed to work on a Camaro, door locks, trunk, etc. But, since the Camaro remote is part of the ignition key, I can't understand why you would even have a different remote. How do you start the car without a Camaro remote/key?

You are going to have to explain this post more. It doesn't make any sense.

I think he is making a joke about how the "trunk open" button has a picture of a POS car and not a camaro

It looks like an Aveo on my truck button....

Did keyless entry exist on cars in '92?

ya know....I just looked at my remote.....and I noticed something else that makes ya go "HMMMMM"

on each button, except the remote start and PANIC button......there is either a raised or recessed DOT, as in like BRAIL so if you're blind you know which button your pushing.....BUT BUT BUT if you can't see, what business do you have DRIVING A CAR!! LOL

I almost failed my driver's license test in Vermont.
When asked if a legally blind person can drive in Vermont, I answered no.
I was wrong, they can drive.
