Ultimately if you like them, keep them.

But... Dodge has pretty much taken them to be a dodge thing now. They use them in all there marketing and commercials and not just physically on the car, so they are staking claim. No one really owns it so not really anything Chevy can do.

So even though technically its not owned legally by any car manufacturer.
In the public opinion, it's owned by dodge. So the average and slightly above average person is gonna see dodge stripes on your camaro.

I think they look good, and even plan on testing them out on mine.
Obviously I don't give a rats ass what anyone thinks about them.

Also, another thing I just noticed cuz everyone allways brings up the vett as having these stripes for a long time first. This kind of shows that no one is really paying any attention to the vett anymore. Cuz people should really be saying, why does that challenger have vett stripes. But no one even thinks that. This is how it was so easy for dodge to claim them.

I think you did a great job on them. Again, its not a "Dodge" stripe... its a GS Stripe... regardless of wether they started on the Vette or before, or wether Dodge is using them in their current line-up; its only relevant if you like them. Personally, I think they look sharp. I was consdering doing some on mine, but not sure what color, design, etc, I would go with.

Either way, I never liked them on the vettes and I really don't like them on Camaros or Challengers ,but it's not my car. Enjoy!
Thanks for that explanation. I had often wondered why such a strange stripe configuration existed.
Looks a bit incongruous on a modern road car, but then I'm not a stripe fan, and definately don't have them on my car.

Just know your history of the stripes, and then tell the haters when they start mouthing off that Dodge stole it from GM.

I say keep them.

I almost went with something very similar on my Aqua Blue but in silver.

Honestly the only reason it looks "dodge" in the first place is because its red on black, which is the same color scheme dodge has gone with in its commercials. I guarantee if you had a different color car people wouldn't instantly think "dodge" nearly as much. Go with white or orange perhaps.
